    Staff in the office was friendly. Cleaning crew was inconsiderate parking the wrong way making it difficult to load. Rooms were small heat was on and we had full beds instead of queen. Bathroom had mold carpet felt gross and had carpet strip sticking through.

    Yes, this is the newer property just to the east. Doesn't connect to the original lodge.

    3 travelers, sept 2917. this looks convenient for mt rushmore, custer, what about the badlands and wall drug, deadwood are these within within a doable driving distance. Needles hwy. love the wildlife, probably no hiking, unless short/easy. will start in portland and drive to mt rushmore and site see on way back. any suggestions, things we can't miss??

    Custer is about 45 minutes from Rapid City. It is very easy to see Mount Rushmore, the needles, Crazyhorse in one day. Definitely do the wildlife loop! I know the cost is high but the jeep tour is fabulous!! In terms of the... More
