Whenever I visit NOLA, I will be sure to stay at the ACE Hotel - this Jewel is awesome! The rooms were spacious and art deco and the hotel lobby had a chic vibe with a heightened buzz. During my four day stay, the staff was always very attentive and accommodating - kudos to the front desk for setting the tone with a friendly welcoming upon my arrival. The attention to detail by the staff must be a testament to the leadership of the general manager and hotel manager. Keep doing what you do because your staff is making a difference. I can't wait to return.
Yes...yes..yes..thank you so much for this amazing review. This is music to my ears. Please come back, we want to give you more!

I left with mixed feelings about this property. Upon arrival we learned the only parking available was valet for $44 + tax per day; not a welcoming arrival. Once inside everything looked very nice, "vintage" looks throughout the lobby and dining room off to the left of the lobby, and the "bar" on the right. When we arrived at our room, it was like going back in time about 50+ years. Room was poorly furnished; no desk, no dresser, a wardrobe that wouldn't hold a single person's clothing for a weekend. A couple of "hangers" on the wall held some of the wardrobe over flow. Bed was HORRIBLE, felt like they picked it up used at the local IKEA surplus center. Housekeeping either didn’t know how to make a bed or didn’t care; as every night when the covers were pulled back the sheets were wadded up and the bottom sheet was untucked just hanging off the bed (photo attached) The room had an old fashion looking "ice box" that was stocked full of wine to water, must have been 50-60 bottles and cans filling the shelves. A dry bar had several bottles liquor and mixers on top of the refrigerator was box full of snacks, prophylactics, etc. When the bellman took us to our room, he told us about the snacks, but also said “be careful, they cost a fortune”. We had drinks a couple of nights in the lobby bar, very nice vintage bar and well trained bar staff. Nice “craft” cocktail selection. Got crowded later in the evenings. One night we arrived back at the hotel and they had music BLARING to the point that we could hear it in our room on the second floor. Thank goodness we both had earplugs packed, cause we needed them that night. The restaurant off the lobby was never full, at most we saw about 6-7 tables occupied during the dinner hours. Not sure if was because the food wasn’t that great or because of all the excellent choices in New Orleans. Walking through the hotel things were well worn and in need of replacement and some new paint. Bottom line is we’ll find other accommodations on our next visit to New Orleans
Hello Bill, Thank you for your detailed feedback. Feedback like this helps us to improve on giving our guest a pleasant Ace experience. We want your stay to be as hip and memorable as our decor, and unfortunately we fell short of that pleasant experience, for that I apologize. If at anytime during your stay you were unsatisfied with your room, please don't hesitate to notify front desk so that we may try to accommodate you. I have notified the proper outlet manager of your housekeeping concerns and we will do our best to change your prospective. Please consider choosing Ace for the future. Thank you for choosing Ace Nola.

    Girls Weekend
I love booking boutique hotels, they offer a unique characteristics then some chain hotels. The hotel has some great amenities including two restaurants (one onsite and another about a half block down), pool, a lounge with bar, coffee bar, work area, and music venue. Once you head off the elevator to head to your rooms you realize the building itself is old and the hallways are super dark (which could either be scary for you or mysterious!). We were visiting for a girl weekend and booked a room with two beds, when we entered the room we were underwhelmed. No big deal since we weren’t planning on spending significant time hanging around the room. When we did get back to sleep or relax we could hear everything from outside and the rooms around us since the walls were paper thin, not to also mention the sound from the cable car directly outside our room. The location of the hotel is ideal you can walk or Uber to anywhere within 10 minutes. The hostess at Josephines was great loved her she took good care looking out for us during our time there! Bottom line this is a god hotel but with other notable brands like the Four Seasons opening their doors in the city I’m curious how this hotel will evolve!
MrsGold87...thank you so much for your feedback and kudos to our hostess at JE, we are truly appreciative.

My husband surprised me with a trip to New Orleans for my first time and made our reservations at the Ace Hotel. I had such an amazing experience and will always book my stay with the Ace Hotel. The staff was amazing all around from check in to the roof top pool. The Josephine Estrella restaurant was by far the best food I had during our visit with friendly service at brunch with “V” to dinner that evening. I can not say enough about this hotel and our experience. If you looking for a place to stay this is it!!!

Wow - much nicer than I expected;often the pictures on websites don't match reality but Ace was even better. Friendly, helpful and courteous staff, excellent bar and restaurant and great location really made our stay great! We used the Valet and it was safer and cheaper than parking in a pay lot or on the street.

The ACE Hotel is so amazing!! It is my go-to place for the Essence Festival every year.It is a beautiful boutique hotel located in the CBD just minutes from the French Quarter and Superdome. The staff there are TOP NOTCH and the customer service puts Chick Fil A to shame 😁. They are friendly, very helpful, and will go through great lengths to ensure comfortability and 100% satisfaction. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes to be serviced. The downstairs bar and lounge area has lots of comfortable seating and the drinks are perfectly mixed. There is usually a live music performance in the lounge area where you can hear amazing local talent. Each room has a loft like feel with exposed pipes in the ceiling, huge windows with beautiful, functioning shutters, a fully stocked snack and beer/wine/liquor bar. There is also a super cute retro-style refrigerator/freezer in every room to store food and drinks. Perhaps the best feature of all is the sound entertainment center complete with an authentic record player, assortment of records, aux plug, and Bluetooth capabilities. I highly recommend this hotel when you go to New Orleans. It will enhance your entire experience!

Pluses + Lobby is nicely decorated Minuses - we found 2 roaches in the room. They are very large. When reported to the front desk, they didn't seem too surprised or upset. - room details are all extremely cheap. For example, the iron in the room fell apart while we were using it. the rooms are also carelessly painted. - the rooms flooring is poorly laid out linoleum. It is coming off the floor in places. Is this in style? - When we turned over the white comforter on the bed, there were red stains there - The party at night in the lobby is crazy loud and filled with drunk horny gen xers. (Maybe this is a plus for some people idk) - service is wildly bad! How was the Service so Bad? Nobody wears uniforms so I can't always tell who works there. A bunch of dudes stand in the entrance way but don't help anyone with their bags so I'm not sure what they are supposed to be doing but they are there all day so I guess they are employees. The one who opens the door for you will definitely look your lady up and down though and will stand very close to her. Every interaction is very strange and awkward. There is absolutely no shame there about roaches If you cancel your reservation midway through they will tell you that you will get a refund but they won't really do it. If you forget something in your room, it belongs to them now.

Hi Kevin, I am sad to read your experience with us. Our staff is proud to be engaging and diverse, so we do not have uniforms in most areas to encourage organic interactions. I apologize that the lobby atmosphere was not to your liking as well. When did you stay with us? I hope to connect soon. -Maria, Hotel Manager

The staff is very nice and accommodating, however the hotel needs some work. Rooms are older with no door to bathroom but just curtains. Hard floor like a school classroom. The AC does not go below 72 so we had to ask for a fan as in New Orleans in July this is extremely hot. The hotel was good walking distance from Bourbon Street and right off the streetcar line. The pool. You can forget it. The hotel accommodates for the locals who purchase seats/beds for the day. So as a guest of the hotel you are not prioritized to get a seat and/or use of the pool so don’t depend on this.

During our stay at the Ace hotel ( New Orleans) my family and I had the pleasure of being assisted by Karma. We are loyal customers of the Ace Hotel chain from Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Portland but no one made us feel as welcome as Karma did. She is the definition of southern hospitality. She greeted us with a big smile and great energy. Karma provided great suggestions for activities and was extremely helpful in any way possible. Thank you again Karma !

I came to NOLA to celebrate my 30th birthday with some friends, and this hotel did not disappoint! They did everything they could to make my stay special. Alexis in particular was just wonderful. She hand-drew me a birthday card and offered to upgrade our room. The beds were comfortable and I loved the bath products--they smelled great. The breakfast at the hotel's restaurant was SO GOOD. I had the cheesy grits bowl with andouille sausage and avocado. My friend had the lemon-ricotta pancakes and they were fantastic. The hotel rooftop bar was great as well, I asked the bartender if he could make me something that tasted like a creamsicle and he DELIVERED. The pool was really nice as well. The impression that I was left with was that the people at this hotel are really kind and friendly. You can tell the difference between mere customer service and true hospitality. Alexis made us feel like we were visiting a friend. She made our stay wonderful. The folks over at the hotel's coffee shop were wonderful as well.

I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. For starters the location is ideal, close enough to get into the French Quarter (and other sections of the city) without being in the thick of Bourbon Street craziness. It's easy to pick up the street car from here to get to much of the city. The staff is top notch, warm, welcoming and quick to help with anything you may need help with. The adjoining restaurants are lovely, beautiful interior throughout the hotel and restaurants. The rooms are well appointed and the decor is totally charming. High Points: The Three Keys, the live music venue located inside the lobby/bar has music most weekends. The roof top pool/bar Alto has views of the city, casual drinks, and always a breeze. We've stayed here twice now and will be faithful to them for all of these fantastic reasons. We love it.
