The main value of this location is parking. Price and age are also important factors. That said, taking a bus would get you to the areas of interest and, once there, the trolley system. Trolleys will get you to all tourist areas and interesting neighborhoods like the Garden District. Eat well and enjoy your trip. Take a French Quarter carriage tour then walk it if you want to.
