Great location with welcoming staff and funky vibe. Reasonable room size and comfortable beds. Excellent restaurant. 2nd Floor hallway carpet in bad need of replacement, and my room required extra vacuuming and fridge cleaning upon check-in.

My husband and I just returned from Nola and I hate to not give the Old 77 a higher rating. The ascetics and hotel are really cool. You get the Nola vibe immediately! It's definitely a hipster place that has the definition of hipster under it's belt. The bar is amazing and the service all around is great! The bed...

Room discription is miss leading, although we paid for a room with a window it was facing a wall just 3ft outside the window. Upgrade to room with a "view" or downgrade to a "sleep late" room with no window at all.

Loved the decor and feel of this hotel. Great area and convenient to everything and easy access to street cars to explore other areas of New Orleans and get out of downtown for a bit. Would recommend for a visit to this city.

Hotel management seems to have done a diservice to what was otherwise a good stay in a neat hotel. I emailed the hotel to upgrade my room and to change my reservation to a dinner package. No ne answered my email. I called to do the same. The clerk said they would get back to me. No one did. On...

I thought the hotel was in a great location to everything in town. The hotel is unique and fun! The staff was very welcoming. The restaurant and breakfast bar was on point. They made a great breakfast cappuccino and squash muffin!

Unhappy about no coffee in room which is a necessity for us while on vacation. Otherwise, besides one day of a mishap with housekeeping, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was unique and very convenient to places we wanted to visit.

We enjoyed our stay at the Old No. 77 Hotel. I was definitely skeptical at first but it ended up being a better experience than I thought it would be. Pros: Close to walk to all restaurants, activities, etc., friendly staff, felt safe. Cons: Not as clean as I would've liked, the glass for the shower wasn't wide enough to...

Enjoyed my stay for a business trip. Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, excellent food, great location. Would recommend to others and would stay at this hotel again if I were paying for it myself. Get rid of 200 word requirement for review!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
