From the moment you're greated at the door until you check out, this swanky hotel delights the senses with lots of cheeky surprises. If you're looking for non-cookie cutter accommodations with an artistic flare, this is YOUR kind of place. The restaurant is a new fave in NOLA! The entire staff are engaging, fun and treat you with such a... More

I'll begin with the positives. The staff is has the right attitude be it hotel or restaurant and the bed was clean and comfortable. Now, the first room I was assigned smelled musty and was quickly given another room. This one fell quite short of my expectations. Use the toilet paper to clear your nasal passages if you didn't bring... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the old 77. This used to be an old warehouse that has been converted to a hotel, and the rooms are all very unique and comfortable. I found the establishment very clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and the doorman even offered to walk my dog (pet friendly hotel). I thought for... More

great hotel. Central to everything. Love the rustic decor ..French quarter, Shopping, Frenchmen street all within walking distance. Staff were so helpful at checkin and the staff in the restaurant were perfect! Would definitely return! Only drawback was the housekeeping. One day no towels or TP, another no housekeeping at all. Making this a 3 star not 4

After the hustle and bustle of New York, a few days to unwind in beautiful New Orleans was what was needed. The Old No.77 Hotel is a place to stay and step back in time. Stepped in history and a throw back to vintage decor and rustic charm, this was the best hotel we stayed in on our 5 weeks... More

It was clear no one felt "it" was not their job! An awesome team, whose smile and joy is absolutely contagious! Love the decor and art throughout property! Great location with so much in walking distance of property. This is now my favorite New Orleans property.

Great space. Great location. Helpful staff. Excellent value for money. The highlight is the fit out- very cool industrial design features. It was a little noisy on the street side but the bed was comfy & the room spacious.

Great location, fun, modern look & feel. But the cleanliness left something to be desired. Common areas, hallways, foyer were not very clean. One day no housekeeping came at all. Reception not very alert or helpful. Also, for the price, there were very few amenities: no coffee maker in the room, no coffee in the lobby for early risers, no bathtub,... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in room 373 - beware the loud grinding metalllic noises 24-hours a day, which kept us awake at night. We asked on 3 occasions regarding this noise and were eventually told by the hotel engineer that it was the elevator shaft and that the rooms below had the same issue. We were not offered... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
