The staff are friendly and the location is great. The rooms are clean and cozy. The hotel has a bar and offers Happy Hour. The hotel is clean and also offers valet parking. If you are looking for a clean and affordable place to stay Hyatt Place is it!

The front desk was very helpful and friendly. We asked for directions and the front desk person even gave us tips to help make the experience great! The room was very clean and the breakfast was great as well. It was hard to find a seat or clean dishes when going to eat (so my tip would be get there... More

We stayed here only knowing that we liked to stay at Hyatt Place hotels. When we arrived, this being our first trip to NOLA, we were happy to see just how close we were to everything that we wanted to see and experience. The French Market, Jackson Square and Bourbon Street were a quick walk away, and we were also... More

Hyatt Place was very nice. Walking distance too many places. The staff are very friendly, Omar, was exceptional in his knowledge of the area and pointed us to some good eats. Use streetcars to get around, it's only $3 for a one day pass and you can get on any of the lines. Take the Riverfront line and go to... More

The Hyatt Place is located directly across the street from the Convention Center, five minutes away from the WWII Museum and Harrah's Casino, and an easy 15-20 minute walk from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. The hotel staff are extremely friendly, and the rooms and lobby are about what you'd expect from a Hyatt Place- a comfortable family and... More

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The morning breakfast had a broad selection and was very tasty. The only hiccup was the concierge, which is contracted out by a different company - was not a hotel employee. We stayed here for 8 days and it is in a great location and served as a wonderful... If you are going to be at the convention center this is the hotel to stay. Staff greeted everyone with a hearty welcome and every request they handled quickly and as if it was no bother. They truly couldn't have been nicer. The bed was extremely comfortable and noise outside the hotel was minimal traffic noise. I had friends stay... More

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighborhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
