We had a wonderful family staycation at the Park View! Finding a place to stay with small children is difficult. The Park View not only made us feel welcomed but we felt totally safe! There are lots of things to do near the hotel with children like a walk in the park, a streetcar ride down St. Charles Ave, or a trip to the Audubon Zoo. The staff members were all masked and there was hand sanitizer in all the key points in the hotel. We brought our dinner in and ate on the porch watching the streetcars pass by. Then for breakfast they keep the dining room well spaced and clean. Our room had a side room, away from the door, with a pull out sofa bed that was perfect for our toddler to sleep in.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your perspective with fellow travelers. Your experience traveling with children will be so helpful for others considering taking the plunge with kids in tow! I am so happy you loved your stay with us, and i am grateful you trusted us with your family's health and safety during this pandemic. We absolutely love welcoming children to ParkView. It can be tricky because of our antiques and balconies, but we find that when kids are appropriately supervised by parents, our location is a great one for the entire family! We sure hope to have an opportunity to welcome you back one day. And please tell your sweet kids how much we appreciated their extraordinary good manners!!!

This is my first trip to New Orleans, and I had no idea what to expect (given the wide ranging descriptions I’ve gotten of the city over the years). But it’s a place replete with beautiful architecture, delicious food, and gracious people. I certainly recommend a visit to this engaging, historic city. This artisanal B&B is located across from a large park, and is located near some of the most interesting homes and neighborhoods you could hope to explore. I highly recommend you make an outing of strolling throughout the area, many parts of which are visually arresting. Upon entering Park View, I was instantly immersed in a world of vivid colors and plush textures. It is almost like a movie set, it is so richly appointed in the public areas. I felt at home in this establishment, and was immediately gratified by the gorgeous details and friendly staff. There are so many nuances you can investigate just in the wallpaper! Definitely an ideal combination of luxurious styling and convenient location. My room was letter C, and it was just stunning. I am totally enamored by peacocks, and the owner is, too. Obviously the theme was delightful for me! There is a very interesting wall treatment at the head of the gorgeous bed, which itself is dramatic yet comfortable. It has a high canopy that covers the full length of the bed, and reminds me very much of the furnishings I have seen in French châteaux throughout the Loire Valley and at Versailles. I’m a Francophile, and I love everything that reminds me of being in France. The aesthetic here is what I was hoping for. It’s rather like a sumptuous dream that blends French design, Southern sensibility, and just enough whimsy to make me feel like a child wandering around in constant amazement. It’s almost like being in an eclectic world of Gone with the Wind, plus a smidge of Anne Rice, and a dash of Wonderland. And I love it! Vingt sur vingt!

Thank you so much for this beautiful review of your recent stay with us! I am so grateful you took the time to notice the details we love so much. The wall treatment you refer to was installed just before the pandemic engulfed us so you were one of the first to enjoy the avian whimsy in room C. I am glad you were able to explore the neighborhood and soak in the architecture and culture of our city. It is indeed a truly engaging town. I certainly hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back to New Orleans and ParkView. It was such a pleasure to host you!

In early June, I cautiously returned to the Park View to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday, because I have always been able to trust this hotel. It was wonderful! My daughter is a rising Tulane senior. It's an easy walk across the street from Tulane. We've been coming to this beautiful and charming hotel since our first college tour. It was the first time we'd ventured out since quarantine. The hotel, as usual, was beautiful and immaculate. Safe and delightful. They have gracefully instituted the best and most thorough health safety practices. From my lovely room, to gazing out at Audubon Park from their beautiful (socially distanced) breakfast room, it felt like I'd come back to a safe, warm, welcoming home. The open air cable car that stops in front, on historic St.Charles Ave., was also pristine and set up for safe, socially-distanced riding all the way downtown to Bourbon Street. Restaurants were just starting to open for takeout so there was no scarcity of great New Orleans food to be delivered or brought back to the breakfast room. Great food while overlooking the park! The city was peaceful and beautiful, devoid of tourists, but with the colorful and gentle people of New Orleans. The streets were sparkling, having had thorough cleaning and a 3 month rest from rowdy tourists. Thanks for taking such great care of the Park View while we were off taking care of our health and our families. Thank you for taking great care of myself and my daughter for her birthday!

It is always a privilege to welcome you back to ParkView. I cannot tell you how much we value the faith you have in us to care for you during your stay. These are indeed challenging times. Traveling takes a little extra courage at the moment, and we strive our best to reward that courage by following all CDC guidelines. These practices help to keep our guests and our staff safe and healthy. We see them as another way to provide our unique southern hospitality with you! New Orleans does look a little different right now, but the slower pace and smaller number of visitors seems to enhance her enchanting beauty. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with others. Your faith in us may help them to feel safer traveling for a visit!

Very pretty hotel whose caring and dynamic staff , couldn't possibly be more helpful. The photos , unusually, reflect the hotel realistically. Ask for the kind of bed you'd like, soft or firm , as the different rooms have different options. It's located in the uptown district but it was fun to take the streetcar or take a Lyft or Uber to get into town.
