Nice B&B right on the corner of Audubon Park across from Tulane and Loyola. Also right on the St Charles trolley line, which goes straight into the French Quarter. We stayed in room E, which was very private and quiet (if you stay in this room the outlet in the bathroom is behind the mirror). The staff was great. They...

This is the second time this year that I have stayed at the Park View, the first time to visit a friend, and this time as a Christmas gift for my mom, who hadn't been to New Orleans in 30 years. The hotel is in a great location, right across the road from Tulane and Loyola (so it would be...

This place was recommended on the New Orleans Chabad webpage because it's a short walk to the shul for people who keep Shabbat. They also respect the fact that the electronic front door lock can't be used on Shabbat and provide an alternative. We were delighted with the warmth and enthusiasm expressed by the staff who went overboard to help...

Stayed at the Park View for Tulane Homecoming and Parent Visitation. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The room was nice. The people that work at the hotel were very friendly. Nice breakfast each morning. Wine and snacks in the evening. Can't beat the location right across from Tulane and on the street car line. My son and...

Very nice room, good breakfasts and lots of extra perks. Wine, coffee and snacks available most of the day and nice parlor areas to visit with friends. Trolley stop right out front. I will stay here again when in New Orleans.

Absolutely a memorable stay in the University district of New Orleans. Enthusiastically helpful staff that have gone out of their way to make this a pleasurable visit to the Crescent City. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved hosting you and your husband at Park View! We were captivated by your enthusiasm and love for our city- and we so enjoyed visiting with you on the front porch, watching all the world amble slowly by. Thanks so much for the positive review. As a native New Orleanean, it means the world to me that you...

Staying at many hotels around the world, I was not sure what to expect when my work made a reservation at this guest house. To my surprise, i experienced one of my most favorite stays ever! The traditional house/guest rooms are absolutely stunning and inviting. My room with its canopy bed made me feel like a princess. The staff was...

A friend and I stayed here when we came to NOLA to catch a show at the Saenger. It's a beautiful place to stay, with lovely, comfortable rooms. The breakfast was great, and the staff was very accommodating and welcoming!

Thanks so much for taking the time to review the Park View. We truly enjoy taking care of our guests and, to that end, our staff tries hard to be accommodating. I am so glad you noticed! We would love to welcome you back whenever you return to the city to see more of the Saenger Theater's great productions.

We enjoyed our stay at Park View. There is something special about enjoying an old home. 15 foot ceilings, 4 poster bed, modern bathroom, a nice porch, breakfast in the dining room. We could park on the street right outside the house. Great park across the street and all on St.Charles Ave with a street car stop at the corner....

Thank you so much for your positive comments about your stay with us. Sometimes people find it hard to believe that with all these antiques we can still manage to offer modern bathrooms and amenities to our guests. Currently, we are working on a small office space for our guests to use for conducting business while at Park View. We...

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighborhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
