The worst Hilton I've ever stayed in. Before arrival my booking got cancelled, which was unsettling in view of the exorbitant prices for the room, unleashing frenzy of emails and phone calls to clarify situation... The next morning, I reported the same problem and was told the maintenance team would be in my room in 15 min... 40 min later, no maintenance team had arrived and I had to leave the room... When I got back to the room the hot water issue was unresolved... I had to go back to the reception and my room was switched... When I asked for directions to the new room I was told the new room was on the same floor... The most crucial bit of helpful information however would have been to let me know that the room was in a separate building... The new room was dated, dark, and smelt musty...

Having a river view room meant a rude awakening every time a ship was coming towards the bend in the river and let out three or four blasts on its horn at gone midnight...

I attended a national conference here so myself and about 15 colleagues stayed here for 4 nights... We often bought our own food to have something in our rooms but, while there is a mini fridge, there are no microwaves (which is limiting)... There was a cockroach in my room, which I killed, so I called housekeeping to come clean my room (because what else could they do) but they sent someone to pick it up and flush it down the toilet... They slam shut in every room and I heard the banging all the time, all hours of the day, which is frustrating since the a/c can’t just be set to “on” to drown out noise... Good water pressure even though there are 1,700 rooms...

...First of all, there was absolutely no hot water in my room, and after I called maintenance, I was told that the five floors below me were vacant so I just had to run it for over 15 minutes for it to get hot. Which is interesting, because one member of a party was unable to get a room due to them being overbooked... This hotel is also conveniently located directly above a railroad track where a train blows its horn throughout the day and night... In room dining was also a joke, they say that the in room dining goes from 6 to 11 AM but you have to get your order in by 945 or 10 as they will not take orders after that...

Request next morning to change rooms was not well received by Reception staff... When another room was allocated, we were told our belongings would be moved to the new room and text would be sent to confirm room would be ready... Went downstairs for a coffee to return to the room an hour later but no housekeeping and having to ring Reception to request housekeeping... We stayed 4 nights/3 full days and had no use of our room during the day time...

We stayed at this hotel before a cruise, first time in New Orleans... Room was clean, with a comfortable bed and good shower... We did have an issue with our first room, and the hotel very quickly made it right by switching our room the next day (we arrived late at night)... We had a Riverview room, and it was nice to look out on the water, however our first room looked out onto a riverboat parked alongside, so the switch helped with both issues...

...Seems to be in a 1980s time capsule - not in a good way... When you do reconnect it keeps trying to make you pay... The hotel was completely overrun, but no effort was made to mitigate the effects of several hundred people of limited mobility trying to access a very small (but hugely expensive) breakfast buffet at the same time... This resulted in either having to go out for breakfast or be in the queue before 6.30 am - not what you want when you are on holiday in New Orleans... The final straw was being charged an extra $75 for a 2 pm checkout... The damage being done to the Hilton brand by this place is incalculable...

...The bathroom fan did not work, one day I had no cold water (a pipe burst) and once that was fixed it continued to be an issue that eventually got resolved, the ice machine on the floor I stayed was broke, I had to pay an additional $6 a day to use the gym, and the food at the Dragos Restaurant inside the hotel was not worth the cost at all. I will book elsewhere next time...

If you are a Hilton honors member, you can get a daily food and beverage credit which we used at Drago’s for their delicious chargrilled oysters... The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and accommodating though, one of the best Hilton staff experiences I’ve ever had in fact...

This is a unionized hotel, and it shows in both their ability to attract/retain staff and the attitude of the people working there... Every person we encountered was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly... We never had to wait for an elevator despite a fully booked hotel (if you've ever stayed in a high rise where the waits were long, you know why I'm mentioning this.)... In fact, it never felt crowded, and there were never lines or waits for anything, because there was such an abundance of helpful staff...

If anything, i am convinced that this hotel has the best customer service I have ever experienced among so many places I stayed in, including other Hilton properties - I would give it 5+ stars If I could... Upon check-in, when i was asked for my cell phone number, I immediately was sent a text suggesting to me to text them back with any requests or concerns... I used it many times to ask for things, and all my requests were delivered promptly, day or night... Our luggage was delayed by the airline, and they provided us with dental kits and combs that helped survive the first night... I dealt with many people including bell station manager, and they promised to notify us as soon as our luggage was delivered, and they did!... I received several text when the bag finally showed up... The room we stayed in had a partial view to the river, and was nicely furnished and had good amenities (loved USB chargers everywhere) and comfortable beds... But once again, the biggest asset of this hotel is its very friendly stuff, many thanks to everyone who have made our stay as comfortable as was possible after hectic air travel...

We called before arriving and were told that we didn't need to rebook our room and that we would be able to change rooms upon arrival... After we checked in several others in our group changed, upgraded, or otherwise altered their reservations... We didn't personally experience those things but both of those parties were able to get their rooms upgraded... The convention itself was great but there was a lack of restroom facilities and the ones that you do have were not well kept and many stalls didn't have toilet paper most of the time we were there... I've had friendlier, more welcoming experiences at Holiday Inn Express...

...The staff was very accommodating since I was switching reservations and rooms and they were able to do that seamlessly... The furthest we walked was 30 min away and an Uber or a pedicab was not far away... Bar and dining area are well staffed considering the amount of people are there for the convention...

...The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. Nice to have consistent hot water... When you are paying over 300 a night and not having any one refresh the room, and you are a Hilton member, parking should be complimentary...

...They really need to learn to communicate accurate information with guests and other staff... I also selected high floor/city view and the girl purposefully Place me on the riverside 2nd floor...

...So much to see and do within walking distance of the hotel... Unfortunately the soda vending machines were often empty on our floor so we always stopped at a market or drugstore on the way home to pick up drinks and snacks... Our first night in we were greeted by Cody who was awesome... He checked us in, gave us a map of the city and highlighted some places to see and restaurants to try out...

...They had a little construction going on but thats just progress and everything was fine; good coffee, good food, awesome great location. Can walk almost anywhere like the French Quarter or Warehouse District, the outlet mall is connected to the hotel with a food court for quick lunch during conference without going outside, and the aquarium is right next door... The staff is super friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean, and has a pool & athletic center... Parking was crazy at first because my keycard wouldn't work at the garage, but the front desk fixed it right away and the elevators in the garage connect right into the hotel, so no getting wet if its raining while you unpack... I would recommend this hotel for business or family or both...

A superb room with great facilities and suprisingly quiet for being right in the middle of the city! Really handy being connected to the riverwalk and convention center... Having the walk air conditioned makes all difference though, certainly recommend... Lovely pool and the gym's decent, too... Had a couple of issues with my room key giving up working, and the phone key wasn't perfect, mostly due to my main complaint being that the wifi was horrendous... Lovely staff though, and the breakfast was fantastic...

We stayed at this hotel before a cruise, first time in New Orleans. It’s right on the water and attached to shopping and dining... Room was clean, with a comfortable bed and good shower... We had a Riverview room, and it was nice to look out on the water, however our first room looked out onto a riverboat parked alongside, so the switch helped with both issues... Overall, we enjoyed our stay and it’s extremely close to the cruise port... We were able to walk to all kinds of attractions...
