French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

Hotel's Favorite
I've stayed here before and loved it so we decided to stay again. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and you can't beat the location. You walk out onto Bourbon Street, right where the party is at and if you want a change of pace, slip down a side street and head over to Royal St. for some fun antique and boutique shopping or walk over to the water and enjoy the scenery. The pool is a great amenity, on a hot day. We would go out late, sleep in, wake up and hang out at the pool and sweat out all the toxins in our body, hydrate and start drinking again. The burgers at the pool grill looked so good. We never tried them because we had lunch and dinner reservation plans already booked. Great fun! PJ's Coffee, located in the hotel is good. The restaurant Revolution is top notch. Overall our trip was wonderful! The only complaint that I would have is that 1 of our double beds was lumpy and lopsided. I didn't complain at the time, because I was already unpacked and didn't feel like moving to another room. Plus, we were only there 3 nights but it was still a very good hotel experience. Clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Tip: If you are planning on staying out late and don't mind the noise on a Friday or Saturday night, stay in a balcony, overlooking Bourbon Street. Bring ear plugs, it can get very loud but it's a lot of fun, people watching. If you can do without the noise, request a courtyard room or there are some that are extra quiet facing, some building. Enjoy.

The property needs repairs. The balcony doors are broken and water from rain seeped in. The carpet smelled musty and wet. The doors and windows need major repair. The noise level was horrible because of the broken balcony doors.

Terrible experience. We were there for a wedding in mid May. Many in my family who stayed here felt the same as we do. This hotel is way understaffed. They didn't have rooms ready for check in until after 5:00 PM. They didn't clean our room for our two night stay until late in the evening. The rooms are quite small and they nickel and dime you for everything. There is nothing special about it that you would get at a typical $75 a night motel. Then to add insult to injury, we were missing things from our vehicle after using the required valet parking. We were able to experience this poor service after spending over $350 a night for our stay. I wish I never heard of this place. Never again.

First time Essence Festival visit and I couldn’t have stayed at a better hotel. After growling hot days filled with walking and activities, I could come back to a clean hotel. The employees are super nice and ensured I had extra everything. The hotel is within walking distance from the best restaurants and non-stop attractions. I’d come back again.
