If you ask for (insist) on an inside courtyard room, you get a perfectly quiet location right in the middle of the French Quarter. The room was spacious and clean; the service very good; and the bar/lounge was as good as it gets in New Orleans.

Hotel Mazarin is a very charming, historic hotel nestled right in the heart of the French Quarter. I especially loved the courtyard which the group I was with had a reception in when we arrived. The room was adorable and made me feel like royalty. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make my stay...

I stayed at this property for both a meeting and honeymoon and the hotel was perfect for both. Our room was perfectly sized not too big or too small and had a lovely balcony to enjoy. The food for both the conference and breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. All of the staff from the front desk to conceirge...

Great hotel in the heart of the French quarter. Hotel was historic and beautiful with a lovely courtyard in which to have breakfast. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was elegant and clean. Lots of outstanding restaurants very close.

This was my first stay and my friend's second. We had a very efficient check-in and were also allowed to change our room type to something more comfortable for friends. We were also given coupons for a free drink in the bar which was a nice touch! The room was tastefully decorated and clean. There was a slight musty smell,...

My wife and I stayed here for a night prior to leaving on a cruise. As many have mentioned, the rooms are a little smaller than chain hotel rooms, but the atmosphere and charm more than makes up for it! The courtyard was beautiful with its fountain, and the breakfast was really good. Jack, the bellhop/banquet server/picture taker/ awesome guy...

The staff at Hotel Mazarin go above and beyond to be AMAZING. We had a few events catered and all of the meals were totally on point- both locally flavored and great quality. Don't forget to sign up for their loyalty program, Stash Rewards!

The hotel was beautiful and exactly where we wanted to be. It was convenient to everything. I am sensitive to noise and we had read that we should request courtyard facing rather than street facing to avoid noise. We did so and the noise never bothered us. The included breakfast was good. I ate a lot of bacon. The hotel...

Hotel Mazarin is a perfect balance - located close to the middle of all the activity of the French Quarter ,but slightly away from noise and hubbub which makes for a quiet and restful night's sleep. Breakfast is buffet-format - a step above most hotel breakfast buffets. The standard rooms are small which is ok if you plan on spend...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
