French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

The location, ambiance and service are fabulous. None better in new Orleans French Quarter. I have been a guest on three occasions, never disappoints. The court yard is lovely for breakfast or a quiet conversation. Janet the concierge is a very helpful asset.

We love this little boutique hotel. The location I wonderful - not far from a lot of attractions - not just Bourbon Street! The Courtyards are wonderful, and because the hotel "wanders" back for an entire block, the rooms are quiet. Everything is very clean. And, the breakfas

This is at a great location, 1/2 block from Bourbon. The rooms are very comfortable & very clean. The staff is outstanding, and the included breakfast is wonderful. This is our 2nd year in a row staying here & can't wait to visit again.

Very nice hotel - typical French style architecture for the location. Convenient to everything. Breakfast was lovely and the ambiance to die for. Absolutely loved our stay there. Will be staying longer next time.

The hotel itself was great. However the valet was TERRIBLE. We called for our car three times at least 6-10 minutes ahead and each time (all three!) they brought the wrong car. We were late to our anniversary dinner and missed our desired table.

The room says it accommodates 6 but I only see 2 beds. Is there a sofa bed?

Any downside about this hotel? I noticed the hotel doesn’t have a bathtub in the room?
You are correct, no bath - but our room had a nice walk in shower. The location was fantastic, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and we loved the breakfast (both the food and the setting) and the wonderful live music and classic cocktails at the 21st Amendment bar at the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

Are there guest laundry services, or are there laundromat nearby? Thanks
We do not have laundry services on site but we do offer weekday laundry pickup. There are bags and tickets in guest room closets. Laundry is due by 9 am and will return by end of the same day.

Just read about street and sidewalk construction planned or currently going on in the location of Bourbon Street and Bienville. Is this near the hotel or has the work by the hotel already been completed. Just curious as we are coming in early December and staying at the Hotel Mazarin. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Construction was not an issue at all by the hotel when we stayed in May. Construction on Bourbon was a thing when we were there, but did not negatively affect my experience. Good choice on Hotel Mazarin, it was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made on accommodations. Enjoy your trip!

"Rooms on the interior courtyard are very quiet. But, if you want a balcony room - they have those also - but the balconies are tiny!!"
"We had a room out the back and it was quiet - we didn't hear any street noise."
"Stay at another hotel"
"For quiet almost guaranteed, choose a room with no window on the street. Sound carries through there."
"Go to the 21st Amendment! You won't be disappointed."
