My Wife and I decided to visit New Orleans for our 20th wedding anniversary and wanted to stay in a nice classic hotel in the French Quarter. After reviewing hotels on trip advisor, we chose Hotel Mazarin. We booked a Superior King room with a street view balcony, and requested early check in. We arrived just after noon on our... More

We loved the location. It is not on noisy Bourbon Street, but a very short walk to all the action. The Mazarin has the old world charm, wonderful breakfast and central location we love. This is our second visit and we loved it! We brought our adult children and a grandchild this trip. We will definitely return.

My son and daughter in law were married in the courtyard. Rachel planned everything. She is amazing! From the organization of the ceremony, attendant, recommendations for flowers and officiate, to the music and toast. Every detail was in order. All of our guests really enjoyed their stay. The food is excellent (I have not had a breakfast buffet this good anywhere... More

My family of four (wife and two daughters 23 and 24) have spend four nights in what has to be one of the best value hotels in New Orleans. We two excellent rooms with very good beds, even so my wife told me not to jump onto the bed, but it was great. The staff was very helpful when we... More

I loved my experience with Hotel Mazarin! The room was awesome and very clean! We spent most of our time on Bourbon street. It was easy to bring anything we bought like souvenirs or cups back up to the room and head back out. The location was great. My only issue was that parking was not free.

I attended New Orleans for Tales of the Cocktail (a cocktail convention), I was staying many nights so it always has to be comfortable. The lobby was small and cozy and the staff extremely nice. I had arrived early from a 5am flight and landed at 10am. The front desk clerk accommodated me and got me a room right away.... More

From the door staff to the concierge to the front desk, the staff are all very helpful and thoughtful. Tours pick-up from the Hotel's lobby making it very convenient right after the included breakfast. The New Orleans Power Pass is a good way to go but compare schedules and local deals that are available also. The Power pass has a... More

Location is stellar. We recently stayed for a family vacation. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the area and things to do. The room and the grounds were very lovely and well kept. The breakfast was wonderful. It is a great hotel with many hard working people to ensure the beauty of the hotel.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
