Recommend this hotel. Location amazing and we were very well looked after both at reception and with room service. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. Only improvement could be a better variety with the breakfast

Stayed at the Mazarin for one night. It as ok as things go - the reception area is well appointed, the courtyard very nice, and the breakfast selection excellent. But ... the tarpaulin they have draped over the courtyard is filthy and threadbare, and our room? Well it stank of damp - it pervaded everything including our clothes. Room was...

Wonderful hotel - would highly recommend. Rooms were large and beautiful with nice extras like robes, slippers, & bottled water. Very convenient location. We were able to walk to everything in the French Quarter. Close to Bourbon Street but didn't really hear the noise at night in our room. Wonderful buffet breakfast every morning.

Attending a performance at the Saenger Theatre, the Mazarin was the ideal location for our stay. Commanders for lunch, walking the Quarter, then the performance, it was a great visit. Breakfast each morning, was the best way to begin each day.

Great comped breakfast and delightful wine sipping ambiance in the courtyard atrium. Excellent beds, quiet AC, really nice and informed concierge. Housekeeping has slipped a little but after four stays, we will be back again next year.

We stayed in one of the larger rooms off main courtyard. The decor had a Parisian flair. Bed was comfortable and extra space welcomed. Bathroom is large with shower and toilet in separate area. I liked that we could shut the doors between bedroom and bath. Floors are tiled but slippers are provided. Rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day. One...

Two blocks from Canal St. trams and buses, around the corner from Bourbon St., and surrounded by fine dining restaurants, we found this to be an ideal location. Easy walk to Jackson square and other French Quarter locations. No need for car here. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles) was excellent, and with...

Lovely old hotel perfectly positioned in the heart of the French Quarter in walking distance to most things. Lovely rooms - one criticism is that at the price point feel that paper and plastic cups in the room not good enough and no choice of beverages - coffee or nothing. Breakfast okay but not exceptional. Staff helpful. The Jazz Club...

This was a great place to stay at during our week in New Orleans. We were just a few minute away from the action, yet it was quiet. The room as well as every nook at the hotel were clean and the ambiance there was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
