We had looked at this hotel as a place to stay for a trip to NOLA. We tried to book a 3 night stay and “their reservation system” took our credit card info but never followed thru with a confirmation email so we assumed that the reservation was not made. We never received any emails from this property confirming a reservation nor any “we look forward to seeing you emails” etc. so we had no idea that a reservation was made - up until we were charged with a no show cancelation fee for the 1st night. We called the hotel and they indicated that a reservation was made and that it was not their fault of no emails were received confirming a booking and that is their policy and ABSOLUTELY no exceptions are made. This came from their Manager of Guest Services who oversees 6 other properties. He was quite rude on the call and Ultimately hung up on me. I asked to talk to his manager and he said nothing would be done but he would have the hotel manager call me. Of course - they have never called. When I first reached out the receptionist who answered the phone acknowledged that the charge went thru and why - I indicated we never received any confirmation emails, etc.a nod she said there was a new reservation system in place and maybe that was why no email was received - still no acceptable resolution. Would have given zero stars but not an option. I have never been assessed a no show fee in 35+ years of travel as I always cancel according to hotel policy!…
I want to give a huge shout out to Bryan at the front desk. His customer service skills are beyond what I was expecting. He was very resourceful and helped me tremendously. Thank you to the rest of the team as well. Bryan stood out. I appreciate you
What a lovely experience we had in New Orleans, thanks in large measure to our great accommodations. Enjoyed a week in the Big Easy with friends. Large rooms, elegant decor, superb service from the front desk, and a great location. Thanks to all at the Hotel Mazarin for your Southern hospitality and a memorable time in your amazing city. ❤️❤️❤️
I can not justify the rates of this hotel with the quality and services provided. At similar rates, you will find better hotels nearby. The hotel is tired and in my opinion, needs renovation. The staff is ok but not motivated. The lobby is minimal and the moldy smell from the air conditioner inside the room is unbearable. I regret I stayed there. For some staying next to Burbon street is a must, but maybe it's better to stay 3-4 blocks away to avoid drunk and vomiting people. I was hoping to experience a luxurious stay but unfortunately, I didn't.
Appearance of Elegance and walking back in time. The room was clean and elegant. Very musty/mildew smell-my sinuses were telling the mold tale this morning. This hotel advertised free breakfast buffet (several workers gave us a different time when they opened-front desk said since COVID we no longer offer breakfast). When taking a shower- no ventilation systems ,so the steam sets off the fire alarm. They also say parking-valet. (We were charged 45.00 a day for that free amenity as listed in their site).
