This hotel is located in a very good location, in the heart of it all. For those who wish to gamble, there is a casino right next door. I like the fact that the hotel has preserved it old school charm, but one thing I feel the can improve upon is to update their Victorian furnitures and carpets. It is... More

This is my third visit to Windsor Court and I'll never stay anywhere but here when in New Orleans. The staff is incredibly warm, friendly and attentive. The food is great. And the bedroom is the most relaxing. Brought some cousins down from Illinois and they can't wait to visit again.

Wow! I have stayed at a lot of nice hotels but this place is phenomenal. Windsor Court is the best hotel in NOLA and everyone will tell you that. The amenities are top notch. Very friendly staff always making eye contact and wishing you a wonderful day. The turndown service was great. The singers and musicians playing in the hotel... More

We've stayed in a lot of hotels, worldwide, and this will rank as one of the best. For starters, we got upgraded to a beautiful, city view suite. I'm sure the regular rooms are lovely, too, but this was exceptional. Everyone, from check in to check out, was so friendly, professional, and helpful. The hotel has old world elegance, and... More

There are several hotels in downtown NOLA but Windsor Court stands out as an independent property that is both luxurious and unique. From the greeting we received at check in to the service from the concierge, doormen and housekeepers, the staff could not have been friendlier. Our room was very comfortable and there is a beautiful salt water swimming pool... More

I visited with my girlfriend and we took in lunch but the hotel itself was amazing. As soon as I entered all I can see was the carpet, chandeliers, and staff. Everything was fantastic. The staff was pleasant, not sure about the parking (b/c we parked on the street). Lunch was okay but the hotel and staff were above par.... More

I love the place. The staff are the best. You are made to feel welcome and part of the family. The rooms are fantastic. Every room is a suite with acres of space and wonderful furnishings. You take your chance whether you get a room with a bath or not. Plenty of space to spread out and work. The communal... More

One of our "go to's" and we keep coming back. We stay at different places in the French Quarter but so many times when we don't want to try something new, we go back to the Windsor Court. Always wonderful, (not in the quarter but a short walk). Treat yourself to a river view room with a balcony. So relaxing.... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
