The Westin was located centrally, in walking distance from Bourbon Street, across the street from Harrah's Casino, and on top of a nice mall, with Lululemon, Saks, BCBG and other great stores. It is also a 10 minute walking distance from the Riverwalk Outlet Mall. The rooms were large, clean and impeccable service from the concierge, cleaning staff and doormen....

What a nice review! Thanks for your business and your endorsement. Our location seems to always get the strong marks and the view of the river is the best anywhere, but it was good to read the recognition you gave our team members. They work hard to provide the best possible service to our guests. We receive feedback about the...

From check in until check out we had the very best experience. Everything about the room was just shy of perfection. Decor, comfort & luxury in an exquisite setting. All within walking distance of everything. It's my new go to place every time I'm there. Already looking forward to April

Thanks for your endorsement and feedback on your stay. We look forward to your next visit. I hope you'll make time to stop by The Green Bar for a specialty cocktail, as it has been updated since your stay in September. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay even more comfortable.

The Westin is a hotel that keeps its promises and we got what we expected. Our room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom (that being said, I thought the shower was not great for a hotel of that standard). The large windows provided an unrestricted view on the Mississippi river. It was too...

Hello Froglita. Thanks for your review of your visit to our The Westin New Orleans Canal Place. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. You are correct in that our breakfast buffet is in the price range you mentioned. We also offer a delicious menu of a la carte options that are priced lower than the buffet. We...

Fantastic view, very nice and polite personnell, wonderful rooms and an excellent location ! One minute walk to the French Quarter, three minutes to the Riverwalk Outlet Collection stores (quite big mall with a lot of clothing and stuff), one minute walk to the ferry, two minutes to the riverboat, posh shopping centre and cinemas in same building. My wife had a conference this past week at the Westin so she was there from Tue-Friday. I came down on Thursday to spend the weekend in NOLA with her. We were only able to stay there to Friday as they wouldn't honor the conference rate for the weekend and the price doubled for the remaining two days. Don't get...

My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel itself is in a great location bordering the French Quarter and CBD, making it very convenient with lots of options for restaurants and attractions. Pretty much everything was within walking distance or close enough to the street cars/public transit. You get amazing views of the Mississippi River from the...

We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Thanks for sharing your comments on TripAdvisor for others to see. We noticed that you recommended that future guests select a River View room. This is the #1 recommendation for our hotel on this site. Guests can upgrade to a Deluxe River View guestroom for $20-$30 (depending on demand and time of...

Conveniently located in French Quarter and to all the restaurants. The rooms are like any other Westin hotel. However, very disappointed with the front desk staff and especially the Concierge service. We were there with friends for thanksgiving and the concierge didn't even give a personal suggestion on some of the popular restaurants( for Gods sake, it's New Orleans !!)...

I loved the stay here. The location is excellent - right next to the Mississippi river and close to the French quarter. Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
