really nice hotel. nice room with a view of the Mississippi...my trip was in July..hope they survived hurricane Ida...I will come back and stay here again. The hotel is connected to an upscale mall and also just down the street from a great shopping outlet center..not to mention a beautiful riverwalk to the French Quarter!

I used my Marriott suite night award to upgrade to a River view suite. The room smelled musty. Most likely because the air was jacked up. Once we turned it down to 65 degrees the smell somewhat went away. The bed was amazing. We slept great. The room definitely needed a deep clean. I’m a loyal Marriott member and stay in New Orleans at least once or twice a month at different properties. Most are like this when it comes to the cleanliness, probably because of staffing issues. They need to get it together because the cost is not worth the lack of cleanliness or the lack of service, which is also happening at some properties.

No remote in room, no trash can in bathroom, hot water did not work on Friday night, no laundry bag in closet, handset on phone did not work. Called front desk. Next day gentleman at front desk, promised to send Champagne to room since it was an engagement celebration. NEVER RECEIVED. Compensated 1/2 off room on Friday....no points offered. Bad service and not good quality. Manager never followed up with me. Shame....

My daughter accidentally left some clothes in our hotel room. I called the hotel the next day and the room had been cleaned but not yet occupied. A security staff member went to the room we stayed in and the clothes were gone. The housekeeper was asked about this (4 days later) and she denied taking them. Who else would have had access to the room and looked in dresser drawers?Security staff actually questioned if my daughter really left them there. Not at all happy with the outcome. So, don’t leave anything behind as you won’t get them back! I guess the hotel doesn’t have a lost and found. Lesson learned by my daughter as well!

High class hotel and that accepts pets. Troy the Bellhop (or whatever you call them) was AWESOME!!! He was always friendly & knew the great places to eat. He wasn’t there our last night🥲. All the staff was really helpful and friendly. The hotel & rooms were very clean. This was my 2nd stay there & I love it as much as I did the first time. They were able to get us a room to accommodate my dog at 1:30 in the morning when my Airbnb was disgusting with bugs & pee smell. This has been the only hotel my dog didn’t bark the whole time at❤️ I hope all the Westin hotels accepts dogs because this will be my go to hotel. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK WESTIN!! Your staff & hotel are awesome!!!
