Don't let the boutique display fool you! Someone stole my Ipad left in my room! Reported missing item to front desk and 3 days later, NOTHING! I have yet to speak to anyone in management. Cold water in room for the first 3 days and could not be fixed. I was told call down 10 minutes prior to showering and we can adjust...not! Had to clean my own room as I found an ear bud and trash near bed. Go somewhere else, this is not Marriott standard! No one has any sense of urgency...
Great location but hotel only scoring 3 because of its amazing staff and customer service. It was grubby if we are honest. Lifts clearly hadn’t been cleaned in the 3 days we were there as there was spittal on the wall. Our room was ok but grubby. The whole place felt ‘sticky’ and in need of a deep clean. On the plus side was a team of amazing staff. Friendly, fun and helpful. Special shout out to Sonia in the bar who was awesome! We were very grateful for the special surprise of a bottle of Prosecco left for us on our anniversary.
First I'd give a 10/10 for the convenient location and the really hospitable staff. Everyone was so kind and the food was really good. These things alone, make it worth a return trip. I'd give a 4/10 for room view. My reservation was for a King w/Skyline view, but this was NON-EXISTENT, as the 1 window that was in the room was really high up so the only thing you could see IS THE SKY. The 1 place where there was an actual view of anything was the window in the bathroom at the toilet. smh I'd give a 6/10 for cleanliness. When we first arrived I had to request a linen change as the fitted sheet was dirty and had hair all over it. They sent someone right away, however, those same long straight brown hairs made appearances on the bathroom wall, shower, sink and floor all through the stay. Considering I have 1in blonde hair and my husband is bald with tightly coiled gray hair in his beard, it was obvious they didn't belong to either of us. This was an indication that the staff didn't thoroughly clean (sweep/wipe down) this area. Lastly, I'll give a 6/10 on the bedroom size, which was EXTREMELY small. I'd compare it to a small dorm room. I also didn't like that there was no fan in the bathroom to help push circulation. I would think this would be almost necessary since the room (which includes the smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel) can get pretty smokey from steam from the shower, or carry bathroom smells since there is only a sliding door to separate it. With those small but necessary changes, I think this hotel is a true GEM!…
Stayed here for one night as a Marriott Plat. Boutique rooms with trendy designs, though the room we were in did not have much of a view. Property was able to accommodate an early check in and late check out without issue despite high occupancy. A minor service snafu re the availability of dental kits which the property addressed quickly by reordering them. Another snafu was that taxi service arranged through the hotel failed to show, resulting in delays to the airport. Notwithstanding this, service from staff including Kris at check in and Vanessa at check out was personable and turned around what could be poor interactions. In fact, Vanessa headed out to the street to try and hail a cab for us, which we deeply appreciated. The Q&C has a good team going for it and I would not hesitate to return.…
My husband and I stayed here for our first trip to New Orleans. While there were many positives, we had scalding hot water for three days/nights which didn’t get fixed. We had to call and go down to the front desk four times to get it fixed. The communication between shifts as well as between the front desk/maintenance staff was unacceptable. An appropriate water temperature is an important feature in a hotel room and when it isn’t working properly, ensuring it gets fixed should be a priority. The positives included the quaint feel of the hotel. It was clean and was close to everything which allowed us to walk most everywhere. We ate in the restaurant on two mornings and the food was excellent! The wait staff worked hard and while they ran out of many items on the small menu, what they did offer was good. Craig in the bar was a great bartender. He was very welcoming and told us a lot about the city. If you are looking for large, spacious rooms, this may not be the hotel for you. If you are looking for a hotel with a tremendous amount of character, this hotel has it. If you need access to a bar and restaurant that is open throughout the day, this also may not be the place for you. There are very limited hours.…
This place is just not great. It’s not horrible but less than my expectations. Check-in was OK. I asked for an upgrade and was basically blown off. I was put in a room in a neighboring building. It’s kind of odd. Rooms are very small and have low ceilings. I can handle small, but the low ceilings made it feel claustrophobic. Otherwise, rooms are well appointed and adequate. The bar area is what attracted me online but once there, you’ll see that it is much smaller than it seems and nothing special. Bartender was good and so were the folks serving breakfast. The service was what I disliked the most. Especially The front desk folks. They consistently seemed uninterested in helping me with questions. I will say that the location was great. I feel like there are better options for the price in the area and I wouldn’t stay there again.…
Great location for visiting New Orleans. Get safe & was walkable to all areas we wanted to visit. Staff was very friendly. Purchases the parking & breakfast package. Parking conveniently located across the street in secure ramp parking. Breakfast included drink & breakfast dish to order. Water/ice on same floor of room. In room coffee & small fridge. Watkins soap products mounted in shower. Rooms quaint and nicely decorated. Cons: air conditioner/heat fan ran constantly and made noise despite being on auto fan & seeming like desired temp was reached. Rooms for price were on the smaller side; although, not terribly small and we still had adequate room for our things. But with that said, prices of rooms in NO were very high overall. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the area!…
I highly recommend the Q&C hotel, our stay was perfect. The room was elegant, spacious and clean. The staff were super friendly and very attentive. The location was centrally located to wonderful restaurants, we walked over to the Ruby Slipper for breakfast and Mother's for lunch. The hotel also has a wonderful bar and restaurant. We grabbed a caesar salad at the hotel before heading over to the convention center for the Mardi Gras ball. It was also very within walking distance to the parade route.
We last stayed here in 2020 just before all the madness started. I was a little concerned that the hotel might have suffered from staffing issues. I was happy to be greeted by the friendly front desk staff upon our arrival. They helped us resolve a little self parking issue that was not their fault at all. Our room was incredible. The floors looked to be original hardwood. I found them charming. The room was not large, but it was plenty big enough. There was no closet, but there was plenty of storage. The bathroom was comfortable and modern. Everything about this hotel is pleasant in my opinion. They have a really nice workout facility with two treadmills, two ellipticals, and two Peleton bikes. I will definitely stay here again.
We traveled to New Orleans for a short stay with another couple. Each of us enjoyed the stay. The rooms were on the small side due to the historic nature of the building, but we had enough space and everything we needed. The best part of the Hotel is the fantastic staff. Everyone we encountered was outgoing and friendly. They went above and beyond to make certain we had a good time at the Q and C.
