Stayed on the night of Dec 12. Staff was great, location was good for my needs, bar and grill was convenient. There are 2 reasons why I could not give a 5. One being that the room, although basically clean had dust build up in corners and under the furniture. I do think this was due to the room not being used much because of covid. Also, I thought that the lobby, bar area was hot. Even one of the desk clerks thought so. don't want to sound negative, but these were things to improve on. Even though I pointed these issues out, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Nice hotel, great staff(Vanessa at the front desk) was amazing & SO helpful & down to earth! The bar is nice & quiet. Derrick(the cook) made the most delicious pizza & Theda(the bartender & so sorry if I spelled the name wrong) was so nice & made us some very refreshing drinks! I’d definitely stay here again. This hotel is right outside the hustle & bustle of downtown but very close to everywhere you want to go. Nice, quiet, & not unruly. Love love!
My wife and I recently stayed here and absolutely loved the property. Right from the start we knew it was going to be a good stay the way Vanessa greeted us with a big smile. She was so friendly and helpful. The property is broken into two buildings. We were in the building across the street from the lobby because we stayed in a larger King room. The room was very comfortable and filled with New Orleans charm. Exposed brick, pictures of city highlights and large ceilings. The bed was so comfy and the shower had super hot water. Very relaxing setting and surprisingly quiet. We did have one issue. The A/C was not working and someone was up within ten minutes, apologized for the inconvenience and had us back in business in no time. He was very friendly. As was Tammy at the bar. She always took care of us every morning for breakfast. I can not express enough how friendly everyone was. We never felt like there were any issues with COVID. We felt the room was very clean and you did have to wear your mask in open areas. Overall, this is a great hotel. Close to a number of great bars and restaurants. New Orleans is a service industry city and COVID has hurt it in many ways. We need to support the city as often as we can and staying here is a great start.…
Made a quick weekend getaway in early November to New Orleans for my first trip since Covid started. I’ve stayed at the hotel a number of times and it was so great to be back. Was greeted by an incredibly friendly Vanessa at the front desk who welcomed us back to New Orleans, and all of the hotel staff throughout the trip made us feel so welcomed. One of favorite things about staying at this hotel is the lobby bar, and the phenomenal breakfast each morning. Great location and charming rooms. Can’t wait to come back!
My wife was here for a month on business and I spent the last few days here as well. Felt welcome from the moment I entered the building. Desk staff is great and treated me like family. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfasts were delicious and the pizza is as good as I have ever had. Obie from engineering was friendly and extremely helpful. Plenty of parking near by and great location near the French Quarter and WW2 museum. Would stay here again!
