The positive here is that it’s an old structure so it has a historic attraction element. Furthermore, I enjoyed the high ceilings in the bedrooms. The negative is that it’s dirty and beat up. The foyer is dark and depressing, the elevators are disgusting and there is just a basic lack of freshness and sanitation everywhere. Even the pillows were like my grandmother’s—old, cheap and styrofoam—sorry Grandma. The location is great being in the historic section of the French Quarter. Fortunately, this was my last stay at the Pelham.
This hotel is just ok. When you walk in the front door, the hotel smells old and dirty. Everything in the hotel needs to be updated and cleaned. The room was ok. Air conditioner worked well. The staff was nice. Located by good resturants.
This was a great place to stay. Centrally located. Super friendly staff and helpful with telling us places to eat and how to get places. Keenya at the front desk is just a doll. Hotel has an old feel to it. I went with my girlfriends for the weekend away to celebrate my boyfriends life and he LOVED this hotel. We decided to make this an annual trip.We will be back for sure.
It’s a small hotel off of Canal near casino. The street is not congested and people don’t hang around outside so you can get in and out peacefully. The staff was great especially the lady with the dreads who checked me in and the bald head young man who worked front desk in the evenings. The only issue I had was the squeaky noise the elevator made. Will stay again.
The Pelham is a very well kept older hotel. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Rooms have floor to ceiling windows and high ceilings. Hotel is within walking distance to Bourbon st and French markets but tucked away on a quiet street
