I went to a training conference and stayed at the Hotel. I was not comfortable leaving the hotel alone so decided to dine at the restaurant in the hotel. I was uncomfortable because I did not bring dress attire and felt very under dressed. This was my perception only and not the way I was treated by the staff. They...

Beautiful hotel, right in the heart of the action but just that far enough away so you're not kept awake! Didn't eat here, but had drinks in the bar which was lovely Would recommend if you're looking for something more upmarket

It's all about the experience, but having great food isn't too bad either! Great experience at the Criollo Restaurant. Leon made us feel like family! Thanks for great atmosphere, music, service and food. We definitely recommend checking it out!

Hotel Monteleone is right in the French Quarter, convenient to everything & is our favorite place to stay while in New Orleans. We would not stay anywhere else. The rooms are quiet, clean & beautifully appointed as is the bathroom. Very enjoyable stay with efficient & pleasant staff.

We were there for a wedding. The hotel took care of every little detail that came up. All staff were so friendly and greeted all with a smile. The Carousel Bar was the perfect place to meet. Location was perfect.

Beautiful Hotel. Spotless. Great staff! Nicely located on Royal Street, close to everything, yet away from the noise and nonsense of Bourbon Street ( just a 5 min walk when you want some nonsense ;) I loved it when we came back in the evening and the Doorman would recognize and say " Welcome Home". The Carousel Bar is worth...

First time to stay at the Monteleone and loved it. Our traditional room as quite comfortable. We enjoyed the live music in the Carousel Bar and breakfast in Criollo Restaurant. The hotel is very convenient to the French Quarter, the St. Charles trolley, and the business district. The rooftop pool and bar is a pleasant place to get away from...

I travel regularly for work and love finding places like this. The food was outstanding with a wide array of dishes. Everything was amazing including the service from my server Dwayne Edinburgh. He was incredibly attentive as well as knowledgeable of the menu and pairings. Definitely going back!!

I was in staying in this hotel for a wedding. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. I must add that the bed was AMAZING! It is a little pricey for the size of the room, but it is in a great location.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
