I stayed in September - the hotel and my room were cute but the place was generally shabby and poorly maintained. Hotel walls were scuffed and dented, my room needed a major power clean and smelled damp and stale. The door of the room opposite didn't close properly so every time someone went in or out they had to slam...

Back for another stay. Just a very short walk to cafe du Maude, French quarter, Jax brewing. Very friendly staff and very good rates. Recommend courtyard rooms due to possible weekend noise in Decatur

The hotel is a beautiful gem in the French Quarter. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with standard amenities. Southern hospitality at its finest - even when I forgot a precious childhood memento, Nancy at the front desk quickly found the item and assured me it would be taken care of and I'd have it back soon. Then, when I...

Amazing Stay, Great Property close to everything! Only 3 short blocks to the French Quarter. Self parking is a little difficult and the valet is on the high side. Bed was very comfortable and the staff was welcoming and friendly.

We're pleased to hear you had an amazing stay at the French Market Inn. We offer our valet service for guest convenience, but there are public parking lots situated throughout the French Quarter including across from our hotel. We value your kind words about our staff service and hope to welcome you back soon.

This hotel has a great location and an incredible staff. Located far enough away from the riffraff yet close enough to everything. Just a few blocks away from Jackson's Square and New Orleans best restaurants! My personal favorite was having P&J's coffee shop located next door. We paid for valet parking but realized a public lot was across the street....

Love trip advisor and its ability to help find these types places to stay. My wife and I prefer small independents, it seems to be much more pleasant than the chains. We had an interior room without a window, but the room was really spacious and cute. The staff was great, location was perfect, and when you want to get...

We had a great 3 days there. It's very close to Bourbon St., Jefferson Square, The French Market, and great little shops. Harrah's is within walking distance, and is all of the above. It is a very quiet inn with great employees.

Let us begin by stating that we got a great deal on our stay at this little gem! The location of this hotel is perfect. Jackson square is a short walk away as is Cafe Dumont and a ton of shops, including Walgreens and CVS (very important for those of us traveling with a toddler). The check in was quick...

Hi Kamil and Patty, thank you so much for calling the French Market Inn a "slice of heaven in NOLA." Our staff works very hard to accommodate our guests' requests, and it was an honor to contribute to your family's French Quarter vacation. We value your feedback, and hope to welcome you back to the Big Easy soon!

This is a boutique hotel and it is fabulous! The rooms are pretty good sized, and well appointed. The rates are tremendous, and QUIET! The staff is just excellent and friendly too! Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
