Arrived to New Orleans and the hotel on our honeymoon early evening and were surprised that the room was so hot. After running the air conditioning it's version of full blast and it not helping they were kind enough to move us for the night. I hope the next three nights in the original room will be cooler... The room... More

We arrived earlier than check-in time on the off chance we might be able to do so early. We checked in around 1:00pm and the women working at the front desk were lovely. The building itself is pretty from the outside, with convenient access to rooms through the courtyard. Our room was extremely clean and loved the Aveda bath products.... More

Let me just start off by saying Carol at the front desk ROCKS! We were able to check in super early without any problems. The house keeper did an awesome job on such short notice. The room was cute & cozy. If we come back to the quarter, we will FOR SURE be staying there again!

Loved this place. Staff was very helpful. I don't know where some of the negative reviews came from but we enjoyed our stay immensely. My only hold out from giving 5 stars is that you basically have to walk around the entire building to get ice if you are not in that courtyard (there are at least 3 separate courtyards),... More

The location is great for bars and getting away from Bourbon street but the room was dirty, we were unable to get extra towels as they were out of them. We still enjoyed our stay but we paid a high price basically for the location, nothing else.

We were there only a night but loved room 13. The silly lady behind the desk was fun. Love the balcony. The location is truly good for the quarter but away from bourbon street so you can sleep. Good water pressure in the room.

I stayed at the Inn on St Peter for two nights end of August. My room was cozy and clean. I especially liked the bathroom, however, on my last night, I did find a little roach crawling from under the sink! I should've reported it but didn't have the time as I was always out and came back late. Also,... More

We loved it. Our room was clean, very nice, and right in the heart of the quarter. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing it does not have, is an elevator, so just be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. The staff is exceptional, and very friendly!

Great little boutique hotel. Please keep in mind that this building was built in the 1800s so if that sort of thing doesn't appeal to you, don't go here. There was a tiny courtyard to walk through and a narrow staircase to access our room. That could be a problem for some if there isn't another way to access the... More

Our room was somewhat small and the water pressure was less than optimal but those were really the only negatives for me. When we arrived they were repainting the balcony floorboards but this is expected as continual maintenance and upkeep is what keeps these old buildings in good shape. Check in was fast and hassle free which was perfect since... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
