I stayed at the Sheraton two nights for a conference. The location is great, the views are great, my room was modern and very clean. Unfortunately, it was winter and the hotel was full of college students there for sorority and fraternity events. It meant long lines for check-in and assistance, and noisy halls. Not the fault of the hotel,...

The hotel was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the location and the Starbucks located within the lobby. Hotel staff was helpful in providing information about the area and places to visit. Only issue was it would have been nice to have a refrigerator in the room.

This hotel has a very good location! It is walking distance to shops, restaurants and most important to Boubon Street. Went with a group to a convention, it is clean and rooms are comfy. It has a Starbucks in the lobby too! Great place to stay for any occasion.

The Sheraton was a very nice and clean Hotel. Pretty Pricey per person. The room was very nice, with a GREAT VIEW! The Bed was comfortable. They have a Starbucks in the lobby. The gift shop was pretty pricey.

Middle of the road review for this hotel during a youth gathering. The staff overbooked the hotel so there were problems getting already reserved rooms. The elevators locked up due to high school kids constant pushing of the floor buttons. We used the staircase many times to be on time for meeting with groups. We had 2 rooms and they...

Thank you for your review. We apologize that you were not assigned your preferred rooms and were inconvenienced by some of your fellow guests. With younger groups we often see quadruple occupancy in our guestrooms which leads to a very full house. We do hope you have the opportunity to visit us again during a lower demand period and are...

This hotel is in a prime location within walking distance of all the sights while not being directly in the most congested spot. Palace Cafe, Smoothie King, K-Paul's and others are a quick walk away. Check in can vary based on time of day and might be a little longer than you would like to see. Staff is fast and...

Everything about the Sheraton New Orleans was great. It is in a great location, near the French Quarter and the river. The rooms are very comfortable with spectacular views of the Mississippi River and the city. The staff is outstanding and could not be nicer. This is one of the nicest hotels I have visited and will be my go...

arrived late in the day and promptly checked in and out at reserved rate. Room was clean. Some wear noted in bathroom. Toilet seemed to self flush during the night. The breakfast was very pricey for just the basics.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to have provided you prompt service and a comfortable room. We apologize that you had an engineering challenge and you found breakfast expensive. We do hope those issues do not keep you from visiting us again soon.

This place is stuck in the 90s. The rooms are large, with good views, but terribly outdated. As for their only restaurant for dinner, skip it. You would be better off at a tourist trap in the French Quarter. Service was nonexistent and the food and drink were bland. The only shining light here was the concierge.

Thank you for your review. While we're pleased you were impressed with our concierge we are disappointed to learn that you liked little else about our hotel. Especially surprising is the fact that you found the hotel dated as we underwent a $55M total renovation as recently as 2013 and our executive chef has created a menu which includes dishes...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
