Perfect location in this completely renovated full service hotel. Spacious rooms with great views of the city, super comfy beds and linens. Did not make use of restaurants, fitness or pool. Friendly and helpful staff, although the cleanliness of the room could be improved (found trash underneath the chair and bed just after we checked into the room).

Thank you for your review. We couldn't be happier that our prime location, comfortable room, stunning views and warm staff made for a great stay. We apologize that there were housekeeping issues and your comments have been shared with our Director of Housekeeping as he is in the process of making positive changes to the department. We do invite you...

Great location, walking distance from Bourbon street and the French quarters. The rooms however have poor aeration, the bathrooms none. The corridors are dark and the carpet has seen better days. Amenities are very basic: shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. Concierge people though were extremely helpful and professional.

Thank you for your review. We agree our location is extremely convenient to accessing all the best the city has to offer and that our concierge team goes above and beyond to assist our guests. Thank you for your feedback about aeration. We will share that with our Director of Engineering to determine how to best address. Please allow us...

Perfectly acceptable hotel with reasonable facilities. Convenient for Bourbon Street and the French quarter. Breakfast is pricey so use Daisy Duke's across the street. The bar is good too but also pricey.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased that our location and other amenities met your travel needs and we hope that we have the opportunity to serve you again in the very near future. As for Daisy Duke's, it's hard to beat those bottomless Bloody Mary's!

We took my oldest son to NOLA for his 5th grade graduation (he loves food and history). We picked this hotel because it was just out of the Quarter and kid friendly. Hotel was nice. We had to switch rooms because the first room we were in was really loud - we think it was the elevator shaft - but...

The room was nice but no refrigerator, cream for your coffee, or kleenex. Ordered room service Saturday night, good food and on time service. The next morning went down to the Sheraton Cafe, Forget it!!! Sat over 10 min. for somebody to come by the table. 10 more minutes for our drinks and over 20 min to get our breakfast....

Thank you for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed your accommodations and our in-room dining but are concerned to hear that your room did not contain cream or kleenex as those are standard in all guestrooms. We also apologize that you had such an unpleasant experience in Roux Bistro and assure you that it is atypical of breakfast...

The Sheraton on Canal Street really is a great hotel. The rooms are nice and spacious, seem to have been recently updated. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioner worked great. The bathroom was also decent size. My only complaint about the room would be that there isn't a mini-fridge in the room, but that's not really even a complaint....

Stayed at the Sheraton on a recent site visit for an upcoming, 2017 convention. Accommodations were nice, plenty of drawer space in the room, nice view of the river. Quiet hallways, elevators with newer technology nice.

I have to rate the Sheraton Hotel on Canal St. as OK/Good, but not very good or excellent. It could, and should, be much better. The location is great. Overall the hotel is in good condition. I believe the shortcomings are mostly with the management and attention to details. Our room was generally clean and comfortable. The negatives were; Not being...

Beautiful clean hotel within walking distance to Burbon street and Jackson square! The roof top pool and views from the room were amazing! The only down fall is that you have to pay to use the wifi even if you are staying there.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
