Beautiful hotel in the heart of the buzzing french quarter, lovely spacious rooms,we got an upgrade to a penthouse suite as there was a very loud bachelor party in a room next door, the rooms are serviced daily and beds very comfortable, the hotel lobby is massive, biggest ive ever seen with a circular bar, staff are great, loved staying here,so close to everything.

These guys really knocked it out of the park for me. I consider NOLA my second home and have literally stayed all over the city. The Sheraton had BY FAR the nicest staff and cleanest rooms. I had an amazing view of Canal Street and you can't beat the location. It is just far enough from Bourbon to avoid the...

Second time at the hotel. Lovely views from the room out over the city and river. The club lounge was well stocked which made the mornings easier. The location was perfect, a stones through to the French quarter, riverwalk mall and conference centre and a short street car ride to the garden district. Well worth the money, just wish the...

My husband was in New Orleans for a conference which was held at this hotel. We were very pleased with our stay there. Room was great, and location was perfect. Staff was very helpful. But when we got home I realized I had left a bag with a book and my Kindle in it. We unpacked everything but it wasn't...

Had a wonderful Sheraton experience the latter part of October attending an educational conference. I stayed for 5 days and it was fantastic despite one incident. My room was on the 29th floor with an overview of the entire downtown area. Everything you needed was in walking distance from drugstores to an outlet mall. Restaurant availabilities are too numerous to...

I stayed at this hotel for a conference that was shared with the Marriott across the road. The Sheraton is in a good location, with excellent views from high floors. My room was not available at check in, so I was allocated an alternative. The alternative room was dirty, with greasy fingerprints on faucets and a liquid of uncertain origin...

Got locations and price, this is a good choice. The hotel is on Canal Street, right across from the French Quarter, so you can have the convenience without the 24 hour noise of the Quarter. The boutique hotels in the Quarter are cool, but those hotels are a bit like Paris...lots of noise, overpriced and small rooms Sheraton is clean,...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
