Sits in the heart of the city and within walking distance to French Quarter. Our room was clean with excellent views of the city and the river. We had access to the club floor and we used a couple of times. Food was OK compare with other similar clubs. We also had some catering events with our organization and they...

You could not ask for a much better location in the heart of New Orleans. Two blocks away from Bourbon Street and across the block from the French Quarter. This property is well maintained offering a good size fitness facility and pool on the eighth floor. Rooms are clean and well organized offering great views of the city from both...

Attending a business conference this week and lots of excitement when the tornatos came through. The hotel personnel were just as concerned about the guests and watching everything unfold and not having any way to contact their families. The Sheraton is a very nice hotel but if you are looking to really enjoy the local flare of the French Quarter,...

We loved this hotel, the location was perfect. It was walking distance to bourbon st, the casino, royal street and other attractions. Also the rooms were clean and the staff were helpful and attentive. We would definitely stay here again.

Located in the city, this dynamic and happening hotel has such a party vibe. The lobby is always crowded with groups of people either partying in the hotel or coming and going to their specific party places. Thats what it seemed to me. Its new orleans afterall it always has a crazy and jazz and blues lifestyle. Its lobby interior...

Did not sleep because of elevator next door to room. The hotel is 49 stories and the elevators are extremely fast causing a loud roaring and vibrations all night in rooms nearby. The woman who checked me in said that she was giving me this room because I indicated I am hard of hearing. I told her I did not...

I have traveled to this hotel twice, during recent visits to NOLA. It is on canal street, close to business district and bourbon street. The rooms are nice and staff friendly. The one thing that sets this hotel apart from others in the immediate area is it's gym. It is bigger, cleaner and newer than equivalent hotels nearby. If fitness...

I am a frequent business traveler to the Crescent City. I usually stay at the Sheraton on Canal Street. The hotel is clean, staff friendly and offers a business center, work-out facility, valet parking and much more. It has a large bar area and Starbucks coffee shop on the first floor. The negatives include limited restaurant facilities inside the hotel...

This was a very nice hotel and would stay here again. it is centrally located and easy to get to almost everything on foot if you are able to walk easily. The food that was served at our convention was all very good and loved the bar down in the main lobby. Rooms were very clean and we had a...

This was my first time in the big easy and I was attending a 3 day conference at this hotel a few days before Christmas. The lobby was wonderfully decorated with a big tree and a huge ginger bread replica of the St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square. Lots of people around, but still calm with a cool vibe. My...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
