I have stayed here twice now. I think it is a great little hotel. The hotel has unique NOLA charm to it. It is in a quiet area, away from the party of NOLA. The hotel is quite a bit cheaper than you'll find closer to Bourbon, etc. The front desk service is never amazing, but it is never to... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. I am not sure whom you were referring to on our front desk, but I see re-training is in all their futures. If it was not for our guests, we would not have a reason to open our doors. I, we, appreciate you coming to New Orleans and choosing to stay with us.... More

Staff were friendly enough. Room was much nicer than the exterior and surround might suggest. Very cool with ceiling fan on during the night. Breakfast more than adequate. Half decent range of drinks and snacks can also be bought at reception. Away from the noise of the city but still close enough by streetcar to get there quickly. Walking distance... More

The Manager has no regard for customer satisfaction. I do not recommend that anyone considering this place stay here. The neighborhood is sketchy, Breakfast is frozen waffle's and fruit cups, no elevators, Manager is very rude.

Readers, Will this 3rd attempt of this guests to discredit me be the charm? No, it will not. As to their remarks this, We state clearly on our websites, and other marketing tools, we do not have elevators. We are a courtyard style hotel, and there are pictures on all sites that show the courtyard and stairs leading up to... More

Pros: the location is close to the streetcar and away from all the noise. The staff was friendly and attentive to my concerns. They also allow you to use their computer for free to download and print coupons tickets, etc. Cute loft style room Cons: our hotel room was not clean upon check in. I notified staff that the room... My husband and I had a wedding to attend in the French Quarter, and were looking for something quieter and less expensive. Prytania Park was perfect. The room was small but cozy and charming. We sat at the little table outside our room each morning. We weren't fans of the coffee or breakfast, so we found a nice cafe down... More

While searching on line for a hotel near the cruise line port I found the Prytania Park hotel. My husband and I were looking for a quaint, affordable hotel in New Orleans before taking our cruise in a few days. Although I did not know what to expect when I got there, I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel.... More

There is not one thing that I did not love about our three nights in this hotel. The lofted area was so unique and so ideal for our teen girls to have some private space. The furniture was lovely and well-maintained and the bed was soft, clean, and comfortable. The vanity area outside the bathroom was large and great for spreading... More

I stayed at the Prytania Park for a few nights in early July and really like a lot about the property. Located one block off the St.Charles Street Trolley line it was the right location for my visit, seeing family who live in the Garden District. For people looking for a value property, meaning - lower cost lodging in New... More

My family checked into the Prytania Park on June 29th for 1 night. This was my first and LAST visit to New Orleans thanks to this hotel experience. My husband and I went into the lobby and checked in with Staci, she was very nice to us. She did inform us that the room only accommodated 4 and my husband... More

Dear Readers, This review is the 2nd attempt to discredit our hotel for a mistake they made. Not even their failed attempt to discredit us via a complaint to the New Orleans Better Business Bureau would they accept. The BBB agree with the proof to which I provided and closed the case in our favor. Our position stands, and for... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
