The Hotel Provincial is ideally situated in the French Quarter with easy access to surrounding restaurants and places of interest. Our comfortable king room was on the first floor right off the very pleasant patio. The staff was very pleasant and efficient, and we were particularly impressed with David, the valet/bellman. We would recommend the Hotel Provincial to anyone visiting...

The location of this hotel was great as was the room. We loved the French balcony overlooking the street! Friendly staff for sure and a spotlessly clean room just a few blocks from Bourbon Street. We were close to everything yet the street we were on was very quiet. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband suggested New Orleans for a February trip. Hotel Provincial was perfect for us. The staff were friendly and engaging upon check in and throughout our stay. When we inquired one day about the walk to a cemetery tour we were taking they produced a map, showed us the best way to get there, and nicely answered our questions....

I would have given this hotel 5 stars except for one issue. We were woken up at 2am by a very, very loud alarm and a flashing light on the wall. Confused and half asleep we stumbled around thinking there was a fire! The alarm went off and after we were convinced there was no fire we fell asleep. In...

We returned to the Hotel Provincial after many years. In the past this is the only hotel we stayed at in the French Quarter and loved it. It has been beautifully remodeled. Looking forward to our return.

This was a very luxurious room in a very quaint setting making you feel like you're somewhere in Paris. The location was great! Close enough to everything but far enough from the noise of Bourbon Street. Would definitely recommend it!

My fiance and I stayed at the Hotel Provincial and had a wonderful experience. We were right in the Quarter and so close to all the nightlife, but the hotel's location meant we had zero issues with noise when we were finally ready to turn in. The staff were all phenomenally accommodating and friendly. This will be our go-to when...

Beautiful hotel!! We plan to go back and stay for at least a week. Too much to see and do! We loved this hotel and New Orleans!!! You have to try Coops if you want great Cajun food. Bourbon St is only 2 blocks away from hotel.

Located 4 short blocks from Jackson Square, in the oldest section of the Quarter, the Hotel Provincial is a great place to stay. It is clean and has a friendly staff. It is not the Ritz or the Roosevelt but it makes up for that in convenient, reasonable parking and its proximity to everything New Orleans. I stay in the...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
