This was a nice hotel in the French Quarter. Rooms were very small. Location was good. The Ice House Bar was very good. Bartender was great. Was on a bus trip and a bus can't drive to the location, so had to walk a few blocks to get there.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Provincial this week and both of us agreed it was one of the best places we've stayed. The room was nice, the garden and pool area pleasant, and the staff courteous and helpful. We will stay again.

My cousin and I stayed 3 nights and were slightly high maintenance;) We had to move out of our first room due to a technical issue. Brandon, who had already carried our bags in the downpour, helped move us to the new room. Always with a smile, by the way. Then my cousin freaked out, thinking she'd left her jewelry... More

This hotel was beautiful - I stayed here with my son in a very nicely decorated room with extraordinarily comfortable beds, air conditioning and electric fans on the ceiling. The pool was one step outside our door and was open 8am-10pm. The bar was nice, with nice tables outside with a little fountain, free (American ie weak and long) coffee... More

Really enjoyed my stay! Brandon was very helpful throughout my stay. From valeting my car, carrying my bags to my room explaining the history of the hotel. Also was very helpful suggesting places to eat, places that would deliver and sites for me to check out in New Orleans. Bar staff was very friendly and made awesome drinks! Say hello... More

The hotel is housed in what used to be the old hospital which heavily used in the time the French quarter was heavily ravaged by yellow fever. It is very well located if you don't mind being in the more quiet part of the French quarter. We had a chance to have an amazing dinner at their restaurant the night... More

Loved the hotel, the history. Perfect location close to French market and cafe du monde. Quite room, our room had a stair where the bedroom was big bathroom, down stairs a sitting room and another bathroom. Staff were so nice and helpful. Courtyards so New Orleans and 2 pools so nice. Can't wait to visit soon we will stay here again

Great location, on a quiet street within walking distance of many French Quarter sites. There are two pools, one open 24 hours which was absolutely fabulous in the hot after-hours. Very cute rooms, nice helpful staff. Really recommend this hotel

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
