I like the location of the hotel. This is my third time staying here, and I have to say the worst time. My card was erroneously charged $760. The manager reported it was “human error.” It took 10 days to be credited back my money. When discussing this issue with staff, Amber was the most incompetent and rude staff I have encountered during any of my stays at the Omni. Amber lied about hotel policy and prices. There are so many hotels in the French Quarter, that I will never stay here again. If you decide to stay here make sure you check your bank/credit card statements.
This is an outstanding hotel with a great location close to most everything in the French Quarter. Bourbon Street and Cafe duMonde are but a few blocks away as are some great restaurants. The concierge Antonio was very helpful in getting us set up for tours before and after we arrived. He is a great source for information. The hotel itself is a very beautiful hotel with great service and a wonderful view from the roof top. My only complaint with this property is that there should be a free coffee service in the lobby in the morning. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants top notch service and accommodations
My favorite location of any place I’ve stayed in NOLA. Far enough off Bourbon to be quiet, close enough to Jackson Square and all the fun of the Quarter. The rooftop pool with bar was great! Although this is an older building the room was clean and comfy. My disappointment came with the service. Even though we paid $44/night for valet we had to park our own vehicle and also take the elevator to the basement garage to get our vehicle when we checked out. There were no vending machines and the snack shop was closed early (pre 10pm) so there wasn’t a way to get any bottled water. I asked the front desk each night and was thankful for a free bottle but it was room temp. Small thing, but just not the top level service you expect from the Omni brand.
We went to New Orleans for a long weekend and unfortunately it was cool and raining. The hotel upgraded us to a balcony room with a covered balcony. We could sit and enjoy a glass of champagne and coffee and watch the gentle rain . The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The rib room restaurant and bar are in the hotel. They have a beautiful rooftop pool that overlooks the city but unfortunately it was raining. The hotel is really near great restaurants and shops so short walk in rain was no problem. They have valet parking so that’s very helpful. We will go back for a sunny weekend to enjoy the pool . The hotel is very virus aware so face mask and extensive cleaning was in effect .
I have stayed at the Omni Royal Orleans many times over the last 10 years, and it's always great! The rooftop deck is amazing, lobby is beautiful and historic with a lot of room to relax, and the location in the French Quarter is perfect. Rooms are on the small side, but who comes to New Orleans to sit in the room? Staff are always very friendly and willing to help with suggestions. This is always my first choice of hotels in New Orleans
