Melrose was immaculate. We checked in mid week so it was pretty quiet. Beds were super comfortable. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. You can hear birds and dogs very early in the mornings. And walls are thin- it is a historical home so that is to be expected. We would definitely return again. Also only coffee was provided during our stay.

It’s a very old mansion with unusually large room and bathroom. With mediocre appointments furniture,, TV, bedding ect. The couch had a cloth covering that was way overdue for replacement and likely the entire couch itself as well. If you are accustomed to high end furnishings and appointments or hate spending time figuring out how to work old shower knobs and TV remotes avoid. Otherwise book a room at the mansion and trust in their exceptional staff to ensure a comfortable stay

The staff was great and very accommodating… the location is walking distance (if you like to walk) from most scenic locations. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable… however, they meed to update outlet plugs and add USB connection. I would also ask for a full mirror in the room and better lighting in the bathroom.

Beautiful architecture of the hotel, spacious room, nice furniture, lamps, paintings, marble bathroom, but lack of cleanliness and attention to the room and the hotel, close to the French Quarter but the street is a bit noisy and not well maintained. There is no real reception in the hotel, only a small room with a social area for the staff - the lady was eating dinner when we checked in. The staff did not show us the layout of the hotel, did not inform us whether there was breakfast, internet, etc. We received one set of cosmetics for 2 people for 5 days. In addition, the walls are thin and you can hear noises from neighboring rooms and the corridor. The whole thing is disappointing and it turns out that the quality does not match the price - too expensive and too dirty!

We stayed at the Melrose Mansion for a weekend, and really enjoyed the location and accommodations. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was so much to do around the neighborhood. We had an easy time parking on Esplanade as well. So convenient to Frenchmen Street. And a short walk to the French quarter.

We booked direct and had a "deluxe room" in this beatifull house in the french quarter, excellent location. We could park outside the building for free, thats a bonus in these days Our room was in the main building first floor. Nice room with a kitchen a rather small (queen) bed and a bathroom with stained glass window. The first morning we came down for breakfast, there was nothing as promised on thieir homepage. Coffee yes but nothing else, so we went to Rubys around the corner. The staff member at Melrose told us the compani that used to run their breakfast hav just cancelled the contract. He did not even said sorry. I asked for a discount, which he wouldn't give me, but I insisted, so we agreed in 20 $😩😩😩, which as of today one week later, has not arrived in my account. They don't eveb answer any of my emails. Very bad customer service. The house is beautifull, but do something about your service. …

A strong option especially for couples wanting to be able to walk to the many attractions nearby. Nice pool and a beautiful building. Breakfast is not a strong suit as it was previously but apparently there's plans to reinvigorate it.

We are local to New Orleans and stayed here for a mini staycation after our wedding. The staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating. The bed was comfortable, the jacuzzi tub was heavenly, and the room was clean and elegant.

We had an amazing time staying at the Melrose. It could not have been a better location. Close enough to the quarter to walk but far enough away to not be bothered by the noise of Bourbon. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to New Orleans.
