A comfortable hotel, with large rooms and good facilities. 3 minute walk to Bourbon St & just 5 minutes to the mighty Mississippi. Very noisy lobby area, due to large number of Tour Groups using this hotel, however service by all staff ( front desk, concierge, porters, housekeeping ) is very prompt & friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Loved...

Had a great time, if you stay on the 5th floor you get the "whole" look of Canal Street. The Room has glass doors to separate from the living room, Very nice decor from inside the room you could never tell you were right inside from Maddness (Smile)

Attending a conference in mid May. Location right on Canal street with easy access to the French quarter, Jackson Square, and eateries. Overall clean and friendly staff. Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
