The location is outstanding. 555 canal 3 blocks bourbon street 2 blocks to harrahs. Had a great room on 29th floor on corner overlooking Mississippi River and the city. Loved the view at night. The elevator system is the greatest. You have to stay there to see what I mean

Dear Txfilly53, What beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing your view with us. We're glad to hear you loved our high efficiency elevator system as well as our convenient location in New Orleans' famous French Quarter, steps away from Harrah's Casino, Bourbon Street, and the Mississippi River. It would be our pleasure to host you again soon!

Got a great deal on Priceline for this French Quarter hotel. The location is great for New Orleans tourist activities. We found the staff to be very helpful. Check-in was great. The concierge set us up with reservations at Arnauds. They are well trained in customer service. The building however feels old and tired. The room we had was adequate,...

Just visited the New Orleans Marriott one day after staying at a Ritz Carlton. While it quite obvious a Ritz Carlton can spoil anyone, the Marriott didn't fall too far behind. Things started out a little shady, but the manager (Andrew) and the staff were very accommodating and did everything they could to make my stay rewarding. The rooms are...

I stayed at the Marriott for 5 days for a conference in June and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
