Friendly staff, clean room, walking distance to everywhere. Heated pool to 85 degrees in a beautiful private courtyard. It isn’t modern and new …. But I prefer the unique historic feel. Comfortable bed and bedding. Good coffee.
While the location was great, the hotel was very run down and needs to be updated. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet even though it was only a couple blocks from Bourbon Street, so we were able to get a good night's sleep. We could smell gas in the lobby which was quite concerning. Bathrooms should be redone with poor granite and broken tiles on the floors. Carpet was very worn and dirty. We also had several burned out lightbulbs in bathroom and entryway. Thankfully, we had a reasonable rate when you averaged the nightly rate for our stay. We were disappointed the onsite restaurant was only open Thursday - Sunday.
very nice boutique type hotel, easy access to everything!! walking distance to all in fr qtr! i would stay here again. it was nice, they were friendly and courteous so my stay was made more enjoyable!!
We booked this hotel for the location convenience and the 'free breakfast'. The location is as promised. The Wi-Fi works well. The pool looks nice and is heated (we did not use it). The breakfast is not included in the room rate. The rooms are standard. We had a balcony and it rained heavily and water got in the room and drenched the carpet. Parking is expensive and they don't have room to park all guests. There was entertainment booked and they were fun. The bar is good. If you don't plan to spend a lot of time in the room, it will work. Not the best hotel if you have small children.
Overall great experience. I would recommend this hotel to others. No problems experienced during our stay. A little pricey but it was a holiday weekend. We enjoyed breakfast at Bistreaux. We would definitely stay here again.
This was a very disappointing stay. We had paid over $200 a night for a Wednesday and Thursday night. We arrived early and the receptionist was unfriendly and just told us to take out bags back outside and give them to the car valet who would look after them. Our room, when we checked in,was clean but we looked onto a concrete wall less than a metre from the window. Also the toilet didn’t work (this was fixed after a couple of calls down). We left after breakfast and came back at 4 to find our room hadn’t been cleaned. Also they were decorating a nearby room and the carpets were covered in paint and paper that was still all there the next morning. Overall it just didn’t feel like anyone was taking charge of things. The only positive was that it is in a good location.
Was very impressed with the hotel convenient location in French Quarter. Room was very clean with comfortable bed and staff was very nice and helpful Just wished restaurant and bar was open more during week 😊
Our initial room was dirty with hair all over the shower & soap stream marks on the walls and stains on our towels even though we encountered a small issue at check in it was fixed immediately with no questions asked he switched our room and was very nice and personable about the switch and was very understanding with the concern. Jayson was his name if it wasn’t for Jason idk how our experience would have turned out. He needs to be recognized for his excellent customer service and people skills to still allow us to have the best experience we could for our vacation. This is our first time here to New Orleans after a 10 hour drive from NC so thank you again for accommodating your guest no questions asked. Jayson was awesome ! We will return because of the hospitality we received. Thank you. …
We came for Mardi Gras and weren't disappointed! Two women split a king room with no issues. We chose this hotel because it is located in the historic French Quarter, close to both Bourbon St (the party street) and Canal St (the main parade route). Our room was definitely "historic," maybe even slightly dated, but it was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was small but clean, and the shower was average with good water pressure. Housekeeping services and the concierge were friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. They have a small room with drinks, snacks, and basic necessities for purchase. There is a restaurant on site (The Bistreaux) for breakfast and late-night drinks; great jazz musicians playing here on Mardi Gras weekend!
For the price I was expecting a little more, wasnt terrible but I thought the shutter type doors on the bathroom and the side mounted sink faucet a bit odd. The toilet paper holder was basically hanging off the wall not even sure why they leave it...1st night was quiet, 2nd night the neighbors left 2 small children in the room by themselves and I only realized this after hearing the mom say she would be right back then hearing their dad come to the room asking where their mom was at....only to wake up to them slapping each other around at 2 am, YES I reported it to the front desk also talked with other guests on my floor and what do you know they were gone when I came back so the rest of my stay was quiet.(When I say small kids I mean both were under 5-6 years old, yes I actually saw them) Would I stay again? Probably, it did have a bit of a musty smell as others have written but it wasnt overwhelming, oh and there is a bar in the lobby area with music.…
