This hotel is in the heart of the French Quarter next to all of the action but on a quiet side street so you can sleep at night. The staff is incredibly helpful and courteous. This will be the only hotel I will return to because many of the higher price hotels are next to the noisy Bourbon street and... More

Good hotel. Location is convenient for access to Canal Street and Bourbon Street. Rooms are modest size, but clean. Housekeeping was mediocre - garbage on TV stand was not collected, bathroom was not cleaned very well. Overall, a good hotel, good value for price.

From the moment we arrived for our vacation, the staff at Maison Dupuy was extremely courteous and accommodating. The pool and courtyard are beautiful - we definitely enjoyed those amenities!! The location is also PERFECT, walking distance to everything in the French quarter but on a more quiet street only few blocks from Bourbon. The rooms are clean, the beds... More

This hotel was quaint and worked for my boyfriend and I - we wanted a place to sleep with a pool, and that's what we used it for when the pool was open. The small king room was so musty - that is my biggest complaint. Also, the provided bath products are horrible!

I have stayed there many times over the past 10 yrs. and it has become rundown and way over-priced for what you now get. The only redeeming feature is the location. Unfortunately, I will have to find another place to stay during my New Orleans visits.

Great location all the action is within walking distance. Clean streets and quite. Helpful staff and delicious Bloody Mary's. Hop on hop off stop #5 is located at the end of the street and across the way. Big help.

Just returned from this hotel. Good- concierge, location, pool area Poor- room and requests not delivered, ill fitting sheets, no fridge or bottles of water in room. Bathrooms could do with an upgrade. Construction noise outside. Most staff just going through the motions

This is a great hotel and the staff is great. It's in the French Quarter one block away from Bourbon. I will definitely use this hotel again when I return to this beautiful city. I arrived at 10am and my check in time was at 4pm, the hotel clerk made accommodations and allowed me to check in at 11am and... More

Here's a tip: Don't book this hotel far in advance for a stay in August. Smart people choose cooler times to visit NOLA if they can, so the hotel had lots of empty rooms. We booked in April at $200+ per night. By the time we came the hotel was selling the same rooms for less than half. Worse yet:... More

I've stayed at many New Orleans hotels and the Maison Dupuy is easily one of my favorites. It's far enough away from Bourbon Street to ensure relaxation but within walking distance to all major French Quarter attractions. The pool, balconies, food, location and staff make this a great choice when booking a hotel in NOLA.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
