I was born and raised in New Orleans and as a teenager I would pass the Le Pavillon Hotel and dream of being a guest there one day. My family loves playing tourist on the week-ends in the cilty that I love. My husband and I choose the Le Pavillon Hotel to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. We were delighted...

I am very happy I selected Le Pavilion, this historic hotel is beautiful inside. I think I took as many photos of the hotel as I did of the city. I felt as if I had stepped back in time but with all the modern day conveniences. The location was perfect for walking to Harrah's casino and to the French...

We thank you for making our honeymoon stay even more romantic by surprising us with the champagne and chocolate covered strawberries - very nice touch. The hotel is gorgeous - LOVE IT- and the staff is courteous and professional but something is lacking. The staff didn't always make eye contact and their body language did not convey what they were...

I had no idea what to expect as I only knew of the hotel from reviews online. La Pavillon is a wonderful hotel and I'd recommend it to anyone going to New Orleans. It is extremely beautiful and takes you back to a time of elegance and refinement. The staff was both attentive, kind and helpful, and my room was...

Great old style hotel the lobby helps create the feel from the very beginning. Located a bit out of walking distance from the main parts of New Orleans but worthy of a stay. Rooms are good Nd the suit I had two years ago was very nice. Originally owned by the Mecum family this is a great restored hotel.

Excellent place to stay......great service, nice rooms. My husband and I had a Deluxe King room and it was great for us...comfortable and elegant. Great location as it is an easy walk from the hotel to the French Quarter, Superdome and museums. The hotel staff was very helpful and polite... (they spoiled us) We will stay at this hotel again....

From the moment you walk through the magnificent doors of the LePavillion you are transported back into a time when elegance meant chandeliers, beautiful décor and first class service. My bedroom was elegant and very comfortable. I'd stayed at another ultra modern hotel in New Orleans earlier in the week and it didn't compare in anyway to the grandeur of...

This is a great place if you like hotels from the turn of the century. The room itself was just okay, but in a hotel like this you want to spend your time in the lobby or on the roof next to the pool. Great tradition with the late night PBJ and hot chocolate, just brings a nice touch and...

We stayed at Le Pavillon for a family wedding and were so pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. The beds were extremely comfortable, we enjoyed gathering at night by the pool, and loved the nightly pb&j! The concierges Gustav and Lou went above and beyond to make our stay special. It was nice to be able to walk to the Quarter...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
