We booked a King Suite room at the Le Pavillon, as it looked like it had that lovely fair for the style of New Orleans. The night before traveling, we called to once again remind them we needed a  hypoallergenic feather free room. When arriving at the Le Pavillon, first they said our room was not ready - So we went out... More

HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My hubby and I stayed one night here. It was a gorgeous hotel with pleasant staff. All public areas were nice and clean. We appreciated the fruit flavored water that was always available in the lobby. The rooftop pool was very nice and offered fabulous views of the city and even the river! We loved the 10 pm peanut butter... More

The room was cozy. There was tons of dust bunnies in varies areas of the room, even on the vents of ac and mounds of dust on the phone in the bathroom. Concierge was amazing. We were locked n At a sale price of $129 a night we stayed 2 nights n were charged almost SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS. We asked... More

Me and my husband normally stay at one particular hotel in New Orleans but decided "hey let's try somewhere new", so we chose Le Pavilion after reading the reviews and thinking the elevator can't be that bad, right? We were so wrong, although we appreciate keeping the integrity of the hotel by maintaining the vintage curtains, art work, etc...the elevator needs a... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at this location for a mini-vacation. We were pleased with our experience. Rooms were clean, everyone was helpful and the location was perfect! For our price point, we couldn't get a better deal. The only thing that prevented from assigning a higher rating is that one of elevator was not working during our stay so... More

Ok, new ownership is planning renovations. Good and not so good observations: 1. They removed hot tub( boo ). 2). The front staff is great. 3.) Bell service inconsistent. 4.) Toilet in room running constantly. 5.) Valet very expensive. 6.) ceiling in suite needs repair (#616). 7.) Decor in room lacking. 8.) Pool is nice but sort of small. 9.)... More

A family event had us celebrating in grand style at this popular upscale establishment, a long time fixture of New Orleans. The staff could not do enough for our festive gathering. Food was amazing and plentiful. Our room was well equipped and delightful for an overnighter with comfortable accommodations. We loved the peanut butter and jelly table. Breakfast the next... More

My husband and I loved this hotel, this was our first visit. The hotel is on the register of National Historic Hotels. Everything was beautiful and everyone one was extremely friendly and helpful. My only complaint and it is big, was the brunch on Sunday. Let me begin by saying, we are from Baton Rouge and visit NOLA 2-3 times... More

This hotel is a beautiful building, with an elegant lobby and tasteful dining room all on the ground floor. But behind the glitzy mask of these public areas it is not just tired.....it is exhausted! The air conditioning system is well past its sell by date so we experienced water dripping from the ceiling whilst others suffered unbearable noise and... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
