We stayed at the International House on several occasions in the past and again, more recently I stayed by myself in October when I went back to New Orleans. I got the same corner upper floor room with king size bed, large bathroom and loved it. The concierge was super nice and accommodating which made my stay so much more pleasant during these Covid strange times. The only suggestion I'd make to the hotel management is to update the bed linen and towels.
This hotel is beyond beautiful and super artsy–which is what I loved the most about it. The rooms are modern, yet with its unique NOLA vibe and the staff is amazing. I stayed here for 3 nights and can't wait to go back. It's also conveniently located within walking distance from the main landmarks in the French Quarter. Loved it so much!
To be honest, I haven't been here. I was supposed to be. Today. Now. I've spoken to their staff via email, weeks back, when I asked surely dumb questions about the area and things do do solo, safely. The emails they responded with were helpful and by yesterday I'd felt like I was packing to visit friends. Now, thanks to corona and my hospital making me skip my vacation to work along with a state of emergency, I am home. My long planned bucket list trip shot. So, I again reached out via email both to cancel and to hope business holds well to survive. They refunded all my money, and hope to see me soon. I hope so too. But, just based on patient interactions I WILL be staying there as soon as possible!! Thanks to them for being my face of NOLA..kind, helpful and awesome. See y'all soon!!!!…
Great location - just off the busy path, quiet and restful. That said it was within a block or two to all the activity and locations and easy walking to French Quarter. Hotel staff was personable and helpful when it came to information. Great New Orleans vibe.
A really cool, artsy place with a cool bar. Usually when I enter a room in a hotel, Im disappointed. Here the opposite. Comfortable, relatively large room and the bathroom / shower very big and good too! Cleaning stuff did a good job. The only negative point: the guy in charge for the hotel restaurant was on two occasions very unfriendly to me. I never actually ate there, since he was so unfriendly. I never experienced something like that in a good hotel. However, I would come back to this hotel. Its on a good location, next to the French Quarter, but very quiet.
