Great experience. Perfect location and received a welcome cocktail. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Cute little coffee shop about 10 feet out the door. I've been to New Orleans about 10 times and for the price point this may be my favorite hotel.
This is a great hotel, with a beautiful bar, and great staff! The location is perfect! If you are looking for a place with a cool, relaxed vibe this is the place! Usually the price is very good. I will be staying here every time I visit NOLA!
Beautiful lobby, very friendly staff, but the rooms are very small, a/c half worked, fridge didn't work, no microwave in room, only one movie channel on the TV, and I have not gotten my incidental fee back yet
Great stay with Great service...I would definitely stay here again....French Quarter and Burbon Street within walking distance....Front desk and the staff are very polite and friendly....Amazing Experience!!!
The International House Hotel is perfectly located to enjoy all the main events in NOLA. It is a unique, historically updated venue with flavor and culture. This comes from the combination of the historic building, beautifully updated with retrostyle and the main bar which serves unique cocktails tailored from history! Because of the historic nature of the hotel, you will find the rooms to be smaller - just set your expectations for that. Our bathroom, however was almost as large as our room!
We booked this hotel two months in advance as it was a Hotels.com Gold participating hotel. We were supposed to receive: An upgraded room - not received (despite a note to the hotel stating we were Gold members and it was our honeymoon) A free drink token - not received. We approached the reception and enquired how we go about getting this. The staff member put two tokens in our hand and said “that’s how you go about getting it”. That’s it. Late checkout - again, we had to ask for this and the staff member said “hmm I could probably give you 1pm” Rooms were good but not excellent; ripped netting and missing sealant around bathtub etc. Staff were very curt. Finally, whilst waiting for our Uber, I took a phone call and wandered to a quiet place, through open doors in the hotel reception. I was stunned to find out ‘safely stored’ luggage in the middle of the room! We just took it and left… the hotel were none the wiser.…
This is a great little boutique hotel in the Central Business District! Close enough to walk to French Quarter - but far enough away for a nice stay! Great customer service from the moment we arrived until our departure! Room 506 was very nice, clean and the linens and towels were great! Loa Bar downstairs was a nice treat for a cocktail before walking a few blocks away for dinner! Coffee service in the Loa in the morning - so no need to walk and find your fix! Highly recommend a stay at IHNO!
My husband and I discovered this hotel a few years back and now we always stay here. It is so charming and quirky and the staff is very friendly. As others have mentioned, the rooms are small but comfortable. You can't beat the location, as it's close to walkable attractions as well as the buses and trolleys to take you to other parts of the city. The Loa cocktail bar in the lobby is honestly my favorite bar in New Orleans. It's a great place to begin or end your evening. Our bartender this past week was amazing and even taught us a little about how the flavors in the cocktails work together. One secret I wish I knew is how they make the lobby smell so good! It's like instant aromatherapy when you open the door.
Super nice facility, location is central to major venues, I think the best thing was the staff and how nice and helpful everyone was. They run like a well oiled machine, they hustle quietly and you don’t feel rushed.
In the past, we enjoyed this place and the service they offered. Now they don’t have much to offer except excuses and lies about why things are broken or not available. The lobby looks cool and the staff are friendly, but that doesn’t make up for the broken curtains, old/dirty condition of the bathroom and lack of perks they claim to offer (they don’t).
