Over the years, I've had drinks at Loa, the lobby bar at International House and I've always wondered what it was like to stay at the hotel. When I saw an attractive rate at the hotel, I booked it. I inadvertently booked a Rock Star room which is a room with no windows. When I was informed of that at... More

Very nice very cute boutique hotel in the CBD. Easy walk to the French quarter and anything else you want to visit .Great lobby bar for nighttime drinks and delicious lemon water :), very friendly helpful staff will definitely be staying here again!

This hotel is a good walking distance from the French Quarter, and so it's also close to lots of great restaurants and drinking establishments. The hotel itself is fine. It's clean and modern, and kinda has the feeling of a recently flipped house. No frills here and there were several additional charges- $35 for valet parking and $3 for bottled... More

Booked a 4 nights stay at the hotel. Arrived to the lovely lobby and polite doorman. Got to the room and it was so basic, old tired and not nice at all. We asked to be moved and the other room was just as bad. The hotel is really shabby and tired and in no way luxury. the pictures on... More

Reception staff were quick and efficient room and bathroom were amazing with everything including make up remover cloth, downside was breakfast very basic apple, banana or cereal bar tea or coffee. Walking distance to all attractions. Loved Bourbon Street... More

Easy walking distance. Clean, comfortable, safe, smells through out was amazing. Small intimate bar, great drink. Candlelights was a neat surprise. Can only say good things about our 1 night stay. Will definitely stay again. Johnny was awesome- be sure to meet him.

Well located hotel, close to the main streets, but far from the crowded area . Room was daily served and also well done. However it smelt of mold. The front desk team should be more friendly and smile a little more. However a good hotel, I would suggest it and come back.

I so enjoyed my trip to IH and the main reason was the personnel. From being greeted at the door by a very helpful doorman and then receiving a wonderful restaurant tip from Nick the barman, I am looking for the opportunity for a return trip. A boutique hotel with a very different, warm atmosphere. And, what a superb location.

The minute you pull up there is courtesy service at the door. Very nice and polite staff unfortunately I don't remember names very well but everyone was so nice. Any questions you have they are quick with responses and helpful with recommendations. We didn't do the bar there but ppl were there laughing it up. Overall great experience and would... More

We stayed 2 nights and had a great time . The staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the quiet and would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff was the jewel in this crown for sure! Thanks so much for making our first time in New Orleans a great experience!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
