Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The decor is interesting. The room was very comfortable (I believe I stayed in the "Rockstar"). The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel bar is a must do. I tried several drinks and they were all excellent. I highly recommend the hotel and would stay again.

We booked this four star hotel on expedia- it was a special deal, I was a little nervous not booking directly on the hotel website. I knew when the manager sent a welcome email that we wouldn't have any issues with the booking. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the location was perfect, and the staff was amazing. Andrew at the... The International House was very easy to find. We parked in front and were graciously greeted at the front desk. After unloading our bags, the valet took the car to what I assume was a safe place. (There seemed to be no choice but to use the valet parking, my only disappointment. BUT I did feel that the car was... More

I asked the bartender, is it happy hour? And he rudely responded "the menu is right in front of you" I stopped and I was puzzled because the proper response is either a yes or a no. Not "the menu is right in front you" I could clearly see that. I don't know if he was trying to be clever... More

We certainly are so very sorry for the way that our bartender handled your question. It certainly is in no way acceptable or clever. Thank you for your review as we always have room for instructional improvement. We hope to see you again More

International House Boutique Hotel has romantic vibe, trendy but approachable. We enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly staff and closeness to restaurants and shops. We loved staying here and would definitely come back in the future!

Nice front door staff. Great location for walking to the French Quarter. Room is very average with an older decor. Once in the room, it is very quiet. There is a wide variety of channels on the television, which is a Sony nicely hung on the wall.

The hotel was very comfortable and had all of the amenities I needed and none of the stuff that I hate to pay for because I never have time to use it anyway. The bar was cozy and the bartenders very friendly without being imposing. Coffee was ready every morning at 5 AM and it was excellent coffee, well made.... More

This is a sweet little hotel. It's long history means the rooms here are smaller than the big brand hotels, but they have been stylishly redone with nice furnishings and roomy, comfortable bathrooms. The price in this convenient location just cannot be beat. I enjoyed the smaller hotel feel, with a mellow lobby bar and quick and easy access to... More

This hotel had impeccable service (Thank you Andrew et. al). The room was interesting and fun with a great bed. On the second floor was a very cool seating area where you could hang out with friends, new and old. Location was great and the bar was funky and candle lit. Definitely going back especially since they are adding a... More

This hotel was really nice. Walking distance to everything-French Quarter, trolleys, riverfront. Beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious. The hotel lobby is very unique and interesting. They have their own bar. They serve granola and fruit along with coffee and tea for breakfast which I didn't expect. If you go there, get Johnny to help you with your bags... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
