We ended up at the pool level. The room was pretty spacious and modern, the hotel grounds are well maintained, the pool was nice and the hotel is located really close to bourbon street. It's not the cheapest place, but well worth it. Note that the parking is outrageously expensive at over $40 a night.

I picked this hotel for the good location, it spans Bourbon St, Iberville St and even has a doorway out to Canal St. The other two reasons I chose this hotel were the reasonable price compared to others nearby, and that it has free Wi-Fi. New Orleans in August is hot! The air con in the hotel was great, my...

I have the interesting perspective of exposure to three French Quarter hotels in close proximity because my group was spread out over the Hyatt, the Ritz (across the street) and Aloft (two blocks down after crossing Canal St). Here's my recap-- The good... -Spacious, well appointed rooms -Great service and effort from multiple employees - front desk to cafe to...

My husband and I came to New Orleans for a preseason Saints football game. The Hyatt is my all time favorite hotel. The French Quarter Hyatt surpassed all of my expectations. The room was very spacious and clean. It was even decorated very nicely. Even though the location is on the corner of Bourbon Street and Iberville Street, it was...

Great place to stay. It is close to everything and only one block from Bourbon St. There is a cafe in the hotel that serves breakfast and it is excellent and the price is reasonable. One side of this hotel faces Canal St and it is right next to Walgreens. This was a plus for me, because I was able...

Great location close to all the French quarter activity. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. All the staff we interacted with were attentive and helpful. The concierge staff provided great information and helped us make reservations for several activities.

Stayed at the Hyatt Grench Quarter end of August 2016. It was an easy check in upon arrival. The hotel is located at the corner of Burbon and Canal streets, which is a great location. Not in the middle of the Burbon Street madness but just enough removed to be a few hundred feet into the action if you wanted...

We spent 1 week at the Hyatt French Quarter end of August. We checked in quite late (due to our flight from LAX), around 10:30 pm and the check in was a breeze. The front desk representative was super friendly and seeing how tired we were, kindly told us about the concierge tomorrow for us to ask any questions we...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
