Absolutely loved this hotel. From the second you walk into the lobby, you know you chose a great hotel. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and accommodating, even at the cafe they have in the lobby. The concierge gave us multiple recommendations and greeted us every time we walked pass, which was at least a dozen times. The rooms were to... More

We stayed for just one night, but thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. Our room faced the second floor courtyard but was extremely quiet and very spacious. The 15 foot cielengs really make the room feel big. The front desk staff (especially the concierge Tom) was extraordinarily helpful. We requested an early check-in and the room was ready beofre noon. Tom helped... More

very good location - in the French quarter but very close to Canal street. Very nice rooms. Very friendly bar. The pool is a plus. Although the staff at the reception desk and at breakfast were not very smiling, the lady concierge was really helpful. Good breakfast for price. Pity that Bourbon street is now a real ...... mess with... More

We arrived a little early, but the front desk clerk found us an available room. It was not what we requested but on the ground floor and opened on to the pool. It was just perfect because the weather was extremely hot and we wandered in and out from our room. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly,... More

I'll tell you what it means. Me and my husband traveled to New Orleans for a couple's getaway. We arrived late due to airline problems. We called the hotel And. talked to Natasha whom seem like she known us for years.. To notify them we will be Arriving at 11 o'clock. She assured us everything will be fine and she... More

We have been visiting NOLA for the first time. Choose his hotel on booking.com, with a very interesting rate. The quality you get is Hyatt real standard, our room was extremely big and clean, huge flat TV screen and very supportive people at the reception. The hotel location is perfect: in the French quarter, but just close to the business... More

Had booked Hyatt for post cruise stay for 2 nights in mid August. Arrived very early on Sunday morning and the rooms we booked were not ready, but we were given a beautiful upgraded(2 of three) rooms on an interior courtyard. Great service we did not expect at 9:30 am. Entire staff we had contact with was gracious and more... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
