Located at the end of Bourbon Street where all the nightlife and action is, also close to attractions like the Cathedral, Cafe du Monde, French Market and Steamboat ride, one block from Royal Street where most shopping and galleries are. Walkable distance to Harrah's casino, fashion outlet. This hotel is relatively quieter than the ones located well inside the French...

I travel for business...LOTS! I checked into the Hyatt centric and was given an OK room. As I looked around something was missing....ah, a desk. There was a table in front of an L shaped couch but my extension cord to charge my IPAD would not even reach to the table. I called the front desk and asked for a...

Loved this hotel. Great location and amazing staff. Right on the end of bourbon but not too loud. Staff always friendly and there to offer tips and suggestions. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Everything great about the hotel except the food and drink is a tad pricy and the air conditioner/heat is a little loud. The hotel is conveniently located a half block from Bourbon and sits on Canal ("Main Street"). The hotel is impressively clean and the staff is very accommodating.

I enjoyed my stay for the week. Lovely rooms, spacious and comfortable bed. I liked the fact that I was able to move rooms to a quieter one - no drama at all and a much nicer/bigger room also great shower. Thanks Cathryn. I forgot hairspray & nail file and you were able to give me one without charge. The...

Excellent stay during family vacation Little noise from Bourbon Street - did not bother us but might bother some people. Courtyard pool was lovely but bar not in service at time of our stay - that would have been ideal

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
