I love smaller, "boutique" style hotels and this one fit that bill perfectly. The room was nice and roomy and all was in order. The people were courteous and friendly. You need to check this place out on a map...its situated perfectly, just off Canal at the edge of the Quarter. It's two blocks from the casino and the River Walk, walking distance to the convention center, a half block from the House of Blues, and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. You'll be a short walk to the heart of the French Quarter and, being on Decatur Street, you'll almost be able to smell the beignets frying up at Cafe du Monde. I'll be going back.
I am soo in love with this hotel. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Even met someone that lived close to my hometown..The location is perfect. Just a few blocks from Bourbon Street and on the same street as Jackson Square. The Restaurant next door is a perfect little spot for a good meal. I definitely recommend this hotel..Lastly make sure to do a Airboat Trip through Ragin Cajun we had sooo much fun.
I stayed here in January in a friend’s room. In the lobby, I witnessed an older man harassing a homeless girl that was also staying there. To make matters worse, I saw the hotel manager, John, have the police escort the young woman (with some fresh looking injuries and a neck brace), out of her room without saying they would refund the cost of the room she was no longer able to stay in. Ejecting a young homeless woman with clear injuries to rest from is gross, keeping what was probably the last of their money for the room cost is even grosser. I highly recommend other (nicer and cheaper) hotels in the area.
Stayed here over Mardi Gras & what a perfect position it was. All the staff were fantastic & I couldn’t recommend it more. Sitting just inside Decatur St from Canal St it was just a short walk to the French market, Jackson square, Frenchman St & the infamous Bourbon St. Room was very clean & comfortable. Being from the UK I’m more use to having a kettle in the room but there wasn’t one as it’s not a thing used much in America. They did have coffee & tea in the foyer of the hotel which was available 24hrs a day. The bathroom was clean but a little small & the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. We had a room on the 3rd floor at the back & was generally quieter than at the front. Jonathan & the team there made it a most pleasant stay. Highly recommended
I cannot fault this hotel! Cozy comfy room. Super clean. Great size. The location is amazing. Free water and coffee in the lobby. The front desk staff were all so sweet and helpful. Special shout out to Josh I think his name was, who helped us with a room booking mixup after the terrible third party app we booked with (Hopper) weren’t helpful. My only complaint if I had to pick one, and I’m knit picking, was that the shampoo/conditioner were poor quality.
I had a business trip to New Orleans, so why not make it have a little fun while Mardi Gra was starting up. We chose a hotel close to Bourbon Street and just off of Canal Street so the noise from the parades was not overwhelming. When we arrived, we were very politely greeted by Brianna, who made our stay the best!! There was no wait on our room, so we got checked in promptly and was out to adventure very quickly. Bourbon Street is only a few blocks away, but far enough away so the noise and partying doesn't carry into the street of the hotel. There are a few nice dining spots on Decatur Street so you don't have to venture too far to get a good bite to eat. The hotel was clean and quiet. Very basic, but if you are staying in the French Quarter, this is a great representation of what it should be. …
Our stay was excellent. We would have preferred more space to place our clothing in or either more clothes hangers to hang them up. The staff was superb, knowledgeable and friendly! The location was the BEST. Located centrally to everywhere we needed to go!
Perfect location if you choose you want to experience the French quarters but also would like to see the more commercial area. Two blocks from bourbon st. And also two blocks from a high end shopping complex.
The place was very nice and cute. We got there early so they did upgrade us to a junior suite which was nice. The floors in the room were uneven so it did feel weird walking around. But the location was amazing so close to bourbon but still far enough away from the craziness. Decauter st has so many great things to do there so we spent a lot of our time there. Next door is a great restaurant and bar that had happy hour everyday. The only problems we had was cleanliness of the bathroom where we found a different colored hair in the shower. But in all this was a nice hotel to stay at.
Clean, comfortable, great location Parking isn’t a huge problem as it’s only a short block and a half walk from the parking garage to the hotel My only complaint is that generally parking is expensive. But if you’re gonna travel with a car. C’est la vie
