The hotel lobby was being renovated which kinda burst our expectations based on the online pictures and part of our reason for choosing this location. The other part was proximity to jackson square and the street facing balcony of the room we chose. Unfortunately we were given an inner facing pool and no balcony. Asia at the front desk listened to me, and understood that I was trying to make this a special anniversary. She changed our room to a king balcony, set us up with tours and recommended some great places to eat. Big thanks to Asia for saving the special trip for us
This early 19th century hotel is absolutely beautiful. I was so impressed with how well it has been maintained and how sparklingly clean my room was! Although it's right off Bourbon Street, I heard none of the noise from it, so it was a great central location for exploring the French Quarter. The only thing I didn't like was the croissant I got from the deli downstairs. It was so stale as to be completely inedible. I still would return to this hotel in a heartbeat, but I wouldn't go to the deli. I wandered the hotel a bit and came across the ballroom. The banquet manager saw me and invited me in to see the ballroom and gave me a lengthy history, including the resident ghosts. It was great!
The location was great. I liked our room. Clean and well decorated. We stayed 4 nights and asked every morning for fresh towels by 9, because there was no place to hang them to dry. Each afternoon around 4:30 or 5, we'd return to find there were NO fresh towels. Then we had to chase housekeeping through the halls to get some for the following morning. The cocktails and jazz at the bar were very good, but the bar food was greasy and not tasty. The 2 women with braids at the coffee bar were excellent, but the other lady was crabby. The coffee was good, but that should've been complimentary. The vallet took forever, even when we requested our car 20-30 minutes in advance, and the price per day was very high. The bellman ignored us when we were checking out, so we struggled with our luggage while he stood around watching us. Except for the 2 women with braids at the coffee bar, the service was bellow par for the price. I love the French Quarter, but we won't stay here again.…
This hotel is very clean rooms are spacious. Pool is fantastic and warm. The hotel staff are all super friendly and quick to get the things you may need. Ie toilet paper. Special shout out to Paris cleny and Kenneth. These people are the best. Even had the opportunity to hang out on bourbon st with them. Would highly recommend.
From the beginning, our experience was wonderful, thanks to the Bell captain, Charles, who took especially good care of us all weekend - a delightful gentlemen! He made sure we had everything we needed, helped us get transportation, and was magically always around when we needed anything! He is the number one reason we will return. He is the number one reason we will return. Further, the room on the six floor was spacious and pleasant, and the bed incredibly comfortable! We were in New Orleans for a wedding, so didn’t really have time to explore the amenities of the hotel, but look forward to doing so during our next stay. This hotel is located within walking distance of all of the fabulous restaurants, art, galleries, and antique shops. And if you prefer to ride, try the Pedicabs! The only negative was one rude woman at the main desk, whom we only encountered once. Looking forward to our next trip to New Orleans, and lodging at the Bourbon Orleans!…
We spent 4 nights (Mon to Fri) at the Bourbon Orleans hotel. Great location if you want to be in the middle of the French Quarter. It is very loud, so be aware. The room was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. The front desk staff was very personable and helpful. Would certainly go back.
Here at the Bourbon Hotel in the French quarter there is an enchanting lady, Carrieanne. She is bright and cheerful when you absolutely need is your morning Java! Here’s the thing, she also is an official TOUR GUIDE! Y’all she knows everyone and everything in NoLa! She lives right here in the quarter. She is a magician in specializing your personal walking tour for a reasonable price, $25 per person. We were with her for about 2 1/2 hours and I’m sure she would have taken us longer but we were meeting up with others and had to go. Her story telling abilities kept us intrigued and interested in everything she said. You can also find her with the artists at Jackson square. It is clear she loves this unique city and her passion makes the history come to life. So have your coffee, wake up and walk the quarter with Carrieanne!…
Asia and the front desk team saved our honeymoon plans! Our Portugal plans were canceled but Asia made our backup plans remarkable! The valet and concierge, Charles, were fantastic as well! What a beautiful hotel in the heart of the French Quarter!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel for just one night (Long story, but I was supposed to be traveling to Nola with friends for about 4 days staying in an Airbnb and then I had added on this one extra night in the Bourbon Orleans to extend my trip. The trip with the friends fell through but I still had the one night booked at Bourbon Orleans, so I decided to come with my boyfriend. I also had originally booked a Standard 2 Queen for a friend and myself). Upon arrival, we were greeted by Asia, who was SO incredibly kind. She noticed that we had the 2 Queen room booked and asked if we needed the two separate beds (since we are a couple). I said no, but since it was just one night we didn't feel too strongly about the two bed situation. Asia said since it's only one night, she would upgrade us to a loft room with a view of Bourbon Street instead! This was also the last night of our trip, so to get upgraded was the cherry on top! Asia was incredibly helpful, kind, and just a pleasure to meet. The hotel itself has a wonderful location truly in the heart of the French Quarter. It was a bit noisy, since we were right above Bourbon Street, but if you're a heavy sleeper like myself then you won't be bothered by that at all. The hotel building is a bit dated, but what building in the French Quarter isn't? However, you can tell that housekeeping does a good job of keeping the rooms clean. All the staff was very helpful and I would definitely stay there again!!…
We had an excellent time at Bourbon Orleans Hotel. This was our first time staying there. It is sooo close to the French Quarter and all the placed we wanted to eat. The staff, valet's, front desk check in are all very kind. Love that you need a keycard to get into the elevator which adds an element of security. The rooms are large especially for French quarter rooms. We have stayed in other hotels like the Omni on Royal and Maison Dupuy and their rooms are small. We stayed in a double room with our daughter. The price is excellent expected for the proximity. Pleasantly surprised that check out is at Noon and not 10 or 11 am like most places. Would have liked to been able to get a sandwich when we were a little hungry. The bar does open at 1 pm but our daughter is NOT 21 so we had already decided to just sit in the small area in before you walk into bar. Unfortunately, the bar was still closed at 1:10 pm so we went somewhere else. As of March 2023 there is some construction going on in the front of the hotel but did not really disturb sleeping guests. Despite that, we would definitely recommend to our friends and stay there again. …
