Very authentic and clean hotel ten minutes from Bourbon St. Love the pool, rooms and very clean lobby and amenities. Great value! There is a little grocery mart across the street for quick needs which allowed us to walk everywhere. Took an uber once or twice but walked nearly everywhere. Highly recommend this place, also loved the Jazz museum artifacts... More

Perfect location for all the touristy things my friend and I wanted to do for our three days in New Orleans ! Everything was a short walk away. Brooke was an excellent host, she answered all of our questions and helped us find fun things to do ! Our room was very clean, and comfortable. Staff made sure our car... More

Great location in the Quarter. Close enough to walk everywhere but away from the heavy crowds. Well maintained property with beautiful pool and lobby. The room was small but very clean. Will stay here again.

This hotel could be amazing, but it falls short because it just needs a bit more care. Its location is excellent. Close to the centre of the French Quarter, but far enough away to be quiet. My room was comfortable, but the air conditioning was poor. My bathroom was also, to be honest, a bit in need of a spruce... More

Conveniently located in the French Quarter, the charming restored mansion (former home of the New Orleans Jazz Museum) and cozy historic jazz-themed cottages provide a unique experience. I stayed in the John Coltrane room - very nice bathroom and the room also had fridge and coffeemaker. The cottages and landscaping form a green and red mosaic featuring brick walkways and... More

It's all about the staff. Yes, the hotel is quite nice and very well located but what truly makes it a nice experience is the staff. From John, the evening Concierge all the way to Gregory Fleming, the maintenance main man, everyone was kind, efficient and very, very welcoming.

Great location! Hotel staff was very nice and extremely accommodating, especially the manager, Kim. My room was clean. The hotel breakfast was surprisingly good for a continental style breakfast. The pools were clean. It was a little difficult getting in and out of room due to the "French" doors. Only one side opened which gave us very little room to... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
