Absolutely loved this place. The hotel used to be the home of the jazz museum. We stayed in a cottage across the street from the main lobby on Burgundy Street which was so cozy and felt like visiting a home rather than a hotel room. The AC worked wonderfully well as it was near 100 degrees each day. Everything was... More

Place was perfect. Room was clean and had all we needed. You get a true sense of New Orleans staying here. Best part of all was Justin! He takes the time to get to know you personally and addresses all your needs. He is super sweet and obviously cares about his customers.

We visited during Mardi Gras and I loved staying in the French Quarter and the hotel was everything I'd hoped for (clean, comfortable bed, privacy, and good breakfast). The staff were very nice and accommodating. My favorite thing about their breakfast was the grits and the chicory coffee. I particularly liked that there was real dishes to eat with it... More

It is $43 per night to park at this hotel. We had no other choice and not much knowledge of the area that could help us cheaper and convenient parking. Though the location is excellent. We could easily walk to Bourbon street, Decatur, and Iberville streets where all the fun is! Love NOLA

This is a hotel that I will continue to come to on all my visits. It was not a typical hotel like holiday inn....it was full of culture and authenticity. The staff was incredibly accommodating. We arrived late at night and they escorted us from a block away since we were exhausted from traveling. They helped us secure parking for... More

Long story short...I accidentally left behind a bag of expensive items that I purchased while visiting NOLA, on bed of hotel. Several Pandora NOLA beads, Tee shirt from Gallery, Piece of Art from same Gallery and Mermaid figurine. My husband thought my son got bag, I thought husband got bag, and in the end, NONE OF US grabbed the bag.... More

We came across Hotel St. Pierre on Hotels Tonight App and after glancing through some reviews, decided to give it a try, couldn't hurt at $83/nightly. They allowed us to check in early on the 14th, off the bat the staff was friendly and helpful, held our luggage while we went out to lunch. The AC worked really well, most... More

It was a very nice hotel, great location and wonderful breakfast. It is very old and could use some updating but other than that it was very nice. Staff was AWESOME!!!! Very nice warm breakfast everyday with nice pastries and delicious coffee. We did not have time to use the pool but it looked very nice. We stayed in room... More

Starting from the beginning: we booked this "historic hotel" online, from North Carolina, for the week of July 9-16. My family was so excited to stay in a beautiful historic property for our vacation, celebrating my sister's birthday, in New Orleans. My sister rode separately, with her friend, and arrived before my husband, son, and me. Checkin was 3PM, and... More

A friend of mine had never been to New Orleans so we decided to go for the weekend last minute. This hotel was PERFECT! The location was walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do in the French quarter, but far enough away from the craziness that we were able to sleep at night. The continental breakfast and... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On the National Register of Historic Places, the Hotel St. Pierre, with its authentic French Colonial cottages dating back to the 1700's, embodies the architecture, romance, and ambiance of a bygone era. Contributing greatly to the hotel's charm is the relaxed atmosphere of this quiet residential section of the French Quarter. One would never guess its proximity to world class dining, culture, and the lively nightlife of Bourbon Street. Secluded lush tropical courtyards, balconies, pools, and fountains help make this the perfect spot for a family vacation, romantic escape, or storybook wedding, as well as for incentive trips, reunions, and family vacations. Valet parking available for $32.95 plus tax per vehicle per night. ... more   less
