On the National Register of Historic Places, the Hotel St. Pierre, with its authentic French Colonial cottages dating back to the 1700's, embodies the architecture, romance, and ambiance of a bygone era. Contributing greatly to the hotel's charm is the relaxed atmosphere of this quiet residential section of the French Quarter. One would never guess its proximity to world class dining, culture, and the lively nightlife of Bourbon Street. Secluded lush tropical courtyards, balconies, pools, and fountains help make this the perfect spot for a family vacation, romantic escape, or storybook wedding, as well as for incentive trips, reunions, and family vacations. Valet parking available for $39.95 plus tax per vehicle per night.

Hotel St. Pierre garners appreciation for its prime location close to attractions, nestled in a tranquil and secure environment. While the hotel's historic charm and jazz-infused atmosphere are highly praised, the room conditions have been a point of contention, with numerous guests highlighting issues of cleanliness and maintenance. Although the amenities add to the convenience and allure of the stay, there are mentions of upkeep problems. The staff's friendliness is often commended, yet there are occasional remarks about service inconsistencies. Despite its value being recognized, some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with unexpected fees.

I found this for a great deal on a short notice. Super cool rooms with awesome memorabilia. Staff was very friendly and the location is amazing. I am not sure who is complaining about the parking because the lot is literally across the street. Yes, it is small, but it is literally HALF the price of most French Quarter hotels.

The location is literally a 5 minute walk from Bourbon and saw no sketchy characters around. Very artsy residential neighborhood.

The bed was amazing and the room has a very retro feel. Very easy to deal with and super cool art around the property.

My only two complaints were very minor. One was the fact that the remote control didn't really work with the TV, but who in the heck goes to New Orleans to watch TV? The other was the water pressure in the shower was kinda iffy, but at least it was hot.

Great stay for a great price. Will definitely be back.

The hotel was by far the most scenic place we could have stayed. The authentic original iron work to the brick buildings we stayed in. The court yard travels you back in time. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of the French quarter and the market across the street had some amazing and well priced food. Blacksmith bar was walking distance from the hotel as well as many other sights and restaurants. Kenneth was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in he showed us some of the best hospitality that I’ve ever experienced. He even acted as a concierge and made us a dinner reservation as we were casually asking about commanders palace. He gave us all the tips for good local food and overall the hotel was clean, quiet, and very relaxing. The only down side was the bed was a little uncomfortable and the room a little dated but that is to be expected considering it’s a building that was built in 1700s. If it was all modern inside it wouldn’t have had the same feel. I was hoping for a little spooky stuff which was mild but this will not be our last stay here. We will definitely be coming back and with more people once the world is back to normal. Thank you everyone for your hospitality and you truly made our trip fantastic.

My husband fell in love with the room when we checked in. I was still trying to figure out what exactly I was dealing with. As soon as I went to the bathroom I was surprised to see an enormous chunk of black hair stuck to the shower wall! Yuck! The floor had obviously not been swept or mopped either. It was just a little icky for me. The husband loved the feel of the hotel, the location and the fact that our room was named for a trumpet player. Don’t plan on there being any available parking, they have a small lot that fits about 15 cars. We ended up in a premium parking lot a little over 1/2 mile away. The staff was very pleasant and I did not alert them to my concerns, so that’s my bad.

There wasn't any parking available. Fix the door handle that was about to fall off. My bed was lack luster as far as comfort, but my friend's bed (another room) was a king that had completely collapsed down the center. If you stood at the foot of the bed facing the headboard, the bed was in the shape of a 'U'. Abate the mold on the wall as opposed to just painting over it. Clean the mold on the shower tile grout. Have the cleaning crews change light bulbs as they go out... only one of the four worked in the bathroom and it went out at 3am the second night of my stay. I had to walk up to the front desk to get more light bulbs and then change them myself. The smoke detectors continuously chirped in all the rooms throughout my stay. My smoke detector only chirped at night, which woke me up numerous times.

Booked two nights for Mardi Gras. I like the old charm feel of the outside and it being a few blocks from Bourbon Street. However, the few blocks to Bourbon you have to walk past a lot of gay male bars and this made my partner uncomfortable.

The room we has had filthy floors and a stained chair. We arrived at 12am, turned the heat on and came back 2 hours later. The heat still wasn't working properly. The front desk provided blankets however, there was still a draft from the door that wouldn't shut properly. We were told maintenance would come at 7. No one showed up at 8 and we requested a refund and choose another location for the remainder of the trip.

I'm appreciative of the refund but wouldn't recommend this property. Too high for the quality (or lack there of).

We had to clean the room when we got there. It was sticky in some spots like it had never been made ready for new guests. The TV amd 3 light bulbs were missing so we had to call maintenance right away. On our 2nd night there was a bag of trash and dirty linen outside our door and it stayed there until day 4 even though we called and told someone about it day 3. Day 4 the linen was removed but the trash stayed there even until we checked out. The hotel said they did room cleanings every 3rd day due to covid which is understandable but even on day 4 we eventually had to just ask them to at least bring us new towels and take out our trash that was piling up because it was clear they were never going to send anyone to clean.

Charming place in the FQ, which is in a quiet part of the quarter. It is not a destination hotel, but a place for you to sleep, shower and get back out there touristing. Most rooms are quite small, as they are in historic buildings. Ours had a door directly to the courtyard, so the security of the outside fences and gates was important. Old school keys for doors, so don’t lose them. Bed was comfortable, but the carpets were pretty worn. Bathrooms were tiny and we needed to be in there one at a time. Staff was friendly, and you get a run down of all the freebies such as milk and cookies in the afternoon, and breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was decent. It was more than a continental breakfast with a chafing dish of eggs and sausages to add to the breads, cereals, and juice/coffee. Not very wheelchair accessible as there are quite a bit of stairs in each direction. Bright and welcoming lobby that is much more modern than the rooms themselves. Seemed like it was well connected to tour groups as most of the breakfast crowd were young and were hustled off to a waiting shuttle bus for their day’s activities. I’d stay here again.

This place does not show on its website that the rooms do NOT have windows. It was worse when we entered and the roomed smelled of smoke. No considerations were offered. At least the water pressure in the shower was good and the towels were not like sandpaper.

Winter, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. Our rooms are located in 13 historic Carriage houses all in the original floor plans of the buildings. As you know the rooms open to the outside courtyards and not on to climate controlled corridors. Smoking is allowed in our courtyards and perhaps you left your door open too long. I spoke with you upon your departure and reminded you that your room had a full French Door/window of all glass.

The good reviews that this hotel has received belie the truth of the situation that we experienced this past week ... $385 for 3 nights so the taxes add up, and for that we got a very dirty room, a porch that had not been swept of previous guests’ cigarette butts, a broken bathroom knob, a pillowcase with holes, no towels or bath mat, and a wonky drain. We had to ask for towels twice. The room really didn’t look like the pics on the site.. I think there’s another building that perhaps guests they deem worthy can stay in? It was very disappointing in a city with so many other options at the same price that would have been much more comfortable and classy.

We would have been able to correct those issues, or get you into another room. I am sorry that you felt that way. Our hotel is unique and different from many. We showcase certain rooms of different room types just because every 79 rooms are different. Maybe once the pandemic is over ad you feel more comfortable traveling you would consider giving us another shot.

First time back for me in 2 years, I'd been missing New Orleans so much. Since the spot where I usually stayed had closed during the pandemic, I was looking forward to staying at this spot since it seemed to be very similar. I wasn't disappointed.

The hotel dates back a few centuries and consists of several adjacent properties. It's tucked away on Burgundy Street, in a quiet spot of the FQ yet you can walk anywhere easily (I know, because I did!)

The hotel used to be the original location of the Jazz Museum before the new facility opened, and there are lots of interesting artifacts on display that tell about the history of Jazz in the Crescent City

Accommodations are named for jazz greats and I stayed on the Paul Whiteman room. As with most historic properties, there's a mix of old and new. My room was cozy and had one original brick wall. The cold snap was happening during my stay but my heater worked fine and there was adequate hot water. I slept well in my bed, too.

Historic hotels can have their quirks, but I've always loved smaller properties. The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure I had a cab for my early flight to LAX.

Covid has changed some hospitality procedures everywhere, but I was fine with cleaning up, so to speak, after myself. It was not a big deal to me.

It was too cold to swim but the pool areas looked nice. And Miss Nola, the tuxedo kitty, wanders the grounds outside, keeping a watchful eye on all the comings and goings.

I look forward to a return visit!

We arrived early and were able to check in an hour early for $20 I believe. But honestly, after staying here last summer, I would just recommend you run far away and don’t check in. Find another place to stay.
