My wife and I travelled to the wonderful city of New Orleans the weekend before Mardi Gras weekend. Thought we were going to escape some of the crowds but did not know it was All Star Weekend. We stayed at St Pierre and we had a wonderful time. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is not the...

Pros: close to everything in the French quarter, nice size room tucked away in a cottage type home, quaint surroundings, quiet residential location with a convenience store on opposite corner, loved the court yards, decent simple breakfast, helpful staff! Cons: selections of breads, pastries at breakfast could be better and more plentiful, they ran out quite a bit and would...

If you want to stay somewhere with character & true to New Orleans this is the place to stay! The staff were delightful, always smiling & saying good morning. The warm cookies served in the afternoon were delicious. The lobby was spectacular with New Orleans charm.

I enjoyed my stay! The atmosphere was more than what I expected. My friend and I felt the Louisiana love and will be returning. I liked the notion that Bourbon street wasnt far and the Canal Street wasnt either. The WIFI service was great too

The hotel is located in one of New Orleans historical buildings, at the border of the French quarter, in a quiet area with many nice buildings around. It's also very close to a streetcar stop. The rooms are nice, but just small and not well equipped. My room had no table and only one chair. The staff is kind, but...

Location is perfect; easy walking distance of attractions and street car stop. The lobby and courtyard are beautiful. Excellent spots for enjoying continental breakfast or simply relaxing. While our room was comfortable, there were a few issue with surfaces needing dusting; however, this would not prevent us from staying there again. The friendliness of the staff was remarkable, especially Schiqueta...

The positives- location and quaint courtyard/pool area. The negatives- room size , street noise, breakfast and parking. It's an older hotel- so don't expect things like double sinks in the bathrooms and do expect some chipped paint and questionable cleanliness in some spots. But none of that was a real issue for me. The two big issues were the noise...

This is a historic building with character. It is set in the most peaceful part of the French Quarter but within easy walking distance of all that matters. Complimentary breakfasts and afternoon coffees were appreciated. Had eight nights there. It's a two-storey hotel - not one of those soul-less towers.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

On the National Register of Historic Places, the Hotel St. Pierre, with its authentic French Colonial cottages dating back to the 1700's, embodies the architecture, romance, and ambiance of a bygone era.
