Checkin and checkout were easy. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We were very pleased with our room. The location is great - walking distance to Bourbon but far enough away you don't hear it if you're trying to sleep!

Off the beaten path, a great place to stay in the french quarter. Historic feeling in the building, great rooms, Excellent staff, made to feel at home from the start. So would go back and stay longer the next time.

Hotel has a great location and the best balcony in the Quarter. Got a suite for a girls weekend and loved having 2 King beds, fab balcony and a full kitchen. You have to park off-site, but the staff sent me to a 24-hour guarded lot about 5 blocks away and it was actually cheaper than you would pay as...

Very unique hotel with French Quarter charm with Bourbon St. flare. Many people stop as they walked by to see such the well decorated and illuminated building not knowing it's a hotel. Staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating. My fiance inadvertently left behind some items and they shipped back to us promptly which was very much appreciated. The room/apartment...

Great place to stay in the French Quarter. We had plenty of room and bed space for our family. You are minutes away from all the major sites in the Quarter. Loved the decor! We were on the first floor, but it still felt secure.

The hotel is a quintessentially French Quarter/ NOLA style hotel based on classic Spanish architecture and probably a converted mansion of the Spanish period. The hotel is ideally situated for walking and touring and seemed central to everything that we needed. The rooms are spacious and eclectic. The provision of kitchen was great for breakfast and could be a real...

Never been to New Orleans before and since I had to delvier a car to Florida, I decided to stay in the French Quarter as a stop over. The St. Philip Hotel was highly recommended through Expedia and extremely affordable. Hotel staff very friendly and room was comfortable and cozy. Parking is an issue, so take what you can get....

I chose this hotel because of it's location and I was not disappointed! The property was clean on arrival and the lobby & courtyard was very nice as well. The front door was locked, closed and accessible only by code at night for added security. The front desk person was very polite and got us checked in quickly. The room...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
