I loved staying at the St. Philip. It's in the heart of the quarter, close to any and everything. The rooms are clean and have kitchens. The staff was welcoming and fun. You know you're in New Orleans unlike some high rise hotel. Plan ahead for the best rate!

Perfect location in the quarter, close to everything. Great coffee at CC's on the corner, dinner at Irene's, just across the street, was amazing. Short walk to the market and Frenchman St. Enjoyed the balcony overlooking St. Phillip St. Very comfortable king size bed and good quality linen. Would definitely stay here again. Staff friendly and accommodating as well.

I can't recommend this hotel enough! Beautiful historic building, quirky and fun atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff, excellent value, huge room (ours was more like a 1-bed apartment with kitchen/living room) and great location--right in the heart of the French Quarter but set back a little from all the action so you can get some peace and quiet too (should you...

Funky little hotel in the heart of the French quarter. Apartment style room, clean and comfy. It is not without it's quirks so if your expecting the homogenous experience of at a Holiday Inn, this probably isn't for you. That being said, it was a great overall experience, Good price for the location and I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Huge room and great location. The doors lead out to the patio and made our stay very nice. The staff was awesome and were more than glad to accommodate anything we asked for. I'd defiantly recommend this place.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
