This was our first trip back to New Orleans since Katrina hit and we arrived immediately following the Jazz Festival. Hosts/Service: I must say that even before I got out of the car, Tom was already on the sidewalk to greet us - now that's an example of the Southern Hospitality that everyone raves about. Tom was very willing to... More

To this reviewer, we say thanks so much for your kind words and compliments. We also really appreciate your input about the breakfast that you were served, and we are sorry that it was not one of our more creative presentations. Your criticism is valid, and we will definitely take it to heart. We strive to make our breakfasts exceptional--... More

Maison Perrier is an example of why Trip Advisor reviews are so useful. It ostensibly looks out-of-the-way in a quiet section of the Garden District and I would not have chosen it, save for the reviews. Now I wouldn't go anywhere else. Turns out it's a few minutes walk from the charming tramway into the French Quarter, in a secluded... More

I found Maison Perrier on Trip Advisor. I was looking for something more than the standard hotel room. We were a group of three women traveling together and were very happy with the combination of a room and the parlor. It is hard to think of what to add to what other reviewers have said except to say that Maison... More

We have stayed at Maison Perrier twice. Once last October, and again in December for our wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect! Tom and the rest of the staff did everything in their power to accomodate our larger group. Maybe not the best place if you have younger children, only because it is very quiet. The breakfast is wonderful, the location... More

I stayed at Masion Perrier this past weekend along with my collegues. Hands down, we all had a wonderful stay. The innkeepers went out of thier way to keep us comfortable. They are experts on the city. They booked us dinner reservations at the best restaurants, helped us with the logistics of our business needs, & kept us incredibly comfortable.... More

Spent three nights at Maison Perrier with family, including young children. Tom, the owner, is very welcoming and a wealth of information. Declicious breakfasts. Accomodations were great, very comfortable beds. Had a lovely stay and would definitely visit again!

Myself and my wife spent 3 wonderful nights in New Orleans, and in the Maison Perrier. What a wonderful place, the room was top quality. We had the biggest bathroom I've ever been in, a super comfortable 4 poster bed, and the decor in the room was very elegant. Everything was immaculate. The living room and kitchen area was again... We stayed here and it was very well run. The rooms were very spacious and the location excellent. Breakfast was done with true southern hospitality. The bed was comfortable and no back problems when getting up for the day. The nice thing is that they had antiques but they did not smell musty like some B&B's we have stayed in.... More

More a boutique hotel than B&B, the service and accomodations at Maison Perrier are top notch, well exceeding expectations for this excellent value. The rooms and public spaces are elegant but comfortable, filled with local art (some for sale). A Spotless room and a recently renovated bathroom provided a peaceful and beautiful retreat after days of sight seeing and nights... More

Just came home from 3 days at Maison Perrier in NOLA. We really enjoyed our stay! It was nice to stay in the gorgeous Garden District and go TO the party (French Quarter)--the relaxation and quiet when we wanted it is far better for our goal of relaxation and partying. My husband and I stayed in the Vera room. It... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
