Located uptown, in a Garden District neighborhood, near Magazine St. We've been staying uptown during our last few visits and this B&B is a good choice in a residential area. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom. There are several well-appointed sitting rooms downstairs, but due to covid protocol, all guests pretty much kept to their rooms instead of the common areas. There's a library filled with books and games, for those rainy days. The kitchen area has a refrigerator, with water and soft drinks. There is a breakfast area, but this trip involved contactless delivery of the guests' continental breakfast choices. The room was comfortable and quiet and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

This charming B&B in a quiet Uptown neighborhood was a perfect find. Just blocks from the St. Charles trolley and also trendy Magazine Street this uptown location was terrific in so many ways. Tom (host) greeted me at the door, offered me a drink, and encouraged me to sit in their comfortable reading room while he kindly explained everything I needed to know. He carried my bag upstairs (he insisted) to my room ('Clair'), which was spacious, spotless, and splendid. He gave me his cell phone number if I had any further questions, and over the next few days gave me some great tips (at my request) on where to eat nearby and what to order.

Patricia's homemade mini-quiches each morning were delightful and delicious, and her conversation was enjoyable and enlightening. Both Tom and Patricia are the perfect hosts; there when you need them, but never in the way. They are delightful examples of gracious hospitality. I could not have asked for more. I will be coming back again soon.

This is an excellent place to stay. Tom an Patricia, who are the owners, think of everything and nothing is too much trouble for them. It’s close to the number 11 bus on Magazine and the tram on Great Charles St, both of which go down to the French Quarter. The house is in the lovely old Louisiana style and has lots of features, like the rocking chairs on the porch, that we were looking for instead if a big impersonal hotel. Free parking is available - much easier to use the public transport and leave your car here for trips downtown.
Accommodation is really high quality and authentic, little touches like free snacks, home cooked quiches served warm to our room for breakfast and free soft drinks all made us feel really welcome.

Maison Perrier is remarkable, from the perfectly restored historic building, to the beautifully appointed rooms with gorgeous antiques, to the marvelous and helpful innkeepers - Tom & Patricia - this inn is a must for those who dislike the sterility of hotels. The inn was impeccably clean and well kept. The inn is on a quiet street, yet within walking distance to the tram and some of the best restaurants in the city. Tom & Patricia had spot-on recommendations and made our stay in NOLA fabulous: thank you!

If you're traveling to New Orleans, stay here.
Mr. Tom and Ms. Patricia are fantastic hosts. The property is even more beautiful in person. Simply stunning and immaculately clean. Beautifully furnished with intricate details throughout.
We loved the location. It's away from the chaos but conveniently located a short walk from the street car.
Our wonderful hosts also helped guide us on where to go and how to get there. They are exactly the locals you hope to meet. Friendly, helpful, and fun to talk to. They definitely exceed expectations and go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and all your needs are met.

We have previously always stayed at the Sully Mansion when visiting NOLA. It was recently purchased by a couple for their private residence (!) and is no longer available. We found Maison Perrier by searching and reading reviews......We are SO glad that we did! It is a perfect house in the perfect location. The rooms are clean and beautiful. We really felt as if we were part of the neighborhood. It is within walking distance of Superior Seafood (to drop in and get a frozen French 75 to go!) and a 20 min walk to Commander's Palace for Friday brunch. We already have reservations for the fall and look forward to returning!

Beautiful Bed & Breakfast located a few blocks from the trolley and a few blocks from Magazine Street. This perfectly situated property is a short walk from St. Charles and Magazine Street. The hosts were very accommodating and extremely helpful with suggestions of restaurants, attractions, etc. Our schedules made making the reservation difficult but Tom and Patricia were patient and understanding with us and worked with us to make it a wonderful weekend. We’ll definitely be back soon.

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights at Maison Perrier and we can’t recommend it enough! It’s a wonderful period property and a beautiful part of town. It’s a very short and pleasant stroll to Magazine Street, with all its great restaurants and bars (we particularly liked Vintage Bar), as well as great independent shops.

The B&B is also a very short stroll to the street car stop where you can get to the French Quarter and beyond (takes about 15-20 minutes). The Garden District is very safe and great for walking around, taking in all the wonderful houses. Be careful on the pavements as the are very uneven.

The B&B is owned by Tom and Patricia who are lovely people and great to chat to. Our room (Jasmine) was just fantastic, beautifully decorated, very large and had a great balcony. We had breakfast and coffee downstairs in the dinning area which was great. My only suggestion would be maybe a buffet might work a bit better, but what we had was great so not a complaint at all. Plus we didn’t need a huge breakfast given all the food you are going to eat in New Orleans!

Overall we had a wonderful stay at the Maison Perrier and cannot recommend it enough if you’re staying in New Orleans. We’ll definitely be returning! Thanks Tom and Patricia!

I visited Maison Perrier with friends for a long weekend. I am so glad that we chose to stay at this wonderful gem in the Garden District. Experiencing Nawlins hospitality in a beautiful home with exquisite rooms was so much better than staying in the French Quarter - and the easy transportation on the iconic streetcar was fun as well. Tom and Patricia were fabulous hosts, making us feel so welcomed. Our “room” turned out to be a gorgeous suite of rooms with a full working kitchen. We were given a choice of breakfast in our suite or downstairs in the dining room. We chose the latter which made it easy to meet other lovely guests. In the evening, after a full day of exploring, we relaxed in the beautiful downstairs sitting area with our bottle of wine. Highly recommend Maison Perrier.

Great B&B. Great hosts. Great location. We had a wonderful visit. The accommodations were so comfortable. The location is ideal. Close to the Quarter but yet so quiet and safe at night. The hosts were kind enough to take some costs off the rate due to Covid restrictions. We didn’t ask, they just did it. You can’t go wrong at MPB&B.

Answer from tfs
Of course, in fact we would insist on carrying your bags! The two balcony rooms are the king room, Dolly and the queen room, Jasmine. There is also a first floor king room, Claudette, that offers a front porch seating area.
