This was a wonderful place to stay! I was in the first floor Claudette room which was quiet and beautifully decorated with its own sitting area on the front porch. The owners were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I had accidentally told them that I was arriving in the evening and when I arrived in the morning I was welcomed...

We stayed 4 nights in Desiree, the room near the kitchen. It's small but adequate. They start making breakfast around 7 so you hear some chopping/clanking. People usyally start coming down for breakfast/coffee around 8 usually so it's difficult to sleep after that. Ear plugs helped when I wanted to sleep past 7. Hot breakfast is served between 8:30 and...

Tom, Patrica and staff do an outstanding job of making sure your stay is enjoyable. Tom answered numerous e-mails on questions we had, made dinner reservations for us, and marked up a map for us to use.The B&B is centrally located in the Garden district, between St. Charles street ( street car) and Magazine St. (shopping restaurants). Both within a...

My husband & I stayed 4 nights, last week, and thoroughly enjoyed our it. The Innkeepers, Tom & Patricia are hospitable, helpful and knowledgeable about the city. The house is lovely and has that historic charm that you only find in NOLA. We enjoyed walking the surrounding neighborhoods and always felt safe, not something I would say, had we stayed...

Starting with a warm welcome from Tom, continuing with festive seasonal decorations and a delicious and unique homemade daily breakfast, we had a wonderful stay. We used the common room in the evening for a sit down chat and light games, there was a "happy hour" on Friday and Saturday, the room was comfortable and well appointed. Charming places to...

In a place like New Orleans, creating a place that feels like home is tough. If it's your first time you relish the idea of being in a location that's quiet, comfortable and welcoming. Tom and Patricia, the innkeepers, do exactly that. Their warm soothing presence made the charm of the inn itself that much more enjoyable. Tom even accommodated...

We stayed her with 5 other couples for a Valentines weekend getaway. The owners Tom and Patricia were very friendly and they made us feel at home. There were 9 rooms at this place and they all are nice and all have different characteristics that make them each unique. Each room has its own bathroom so you have total privacy....

I stayed at Maison Perrier the end of October with 4 friends for our annual "Girls Trip." Everything about this place is beautiful, comfortable and super clean. The location to the streetcar is really convenient. Patricia and Tom are very friendly and informative innkeepers. Since there were 5 of us we ate at the "big" table and really enjoyed chatting...

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
