This was our first stay at a B and B and it was a great first experience. We were greeted by Kirk ( sorry if I misspelled!!) and Lucky Dog :) Kirk was super nice throughout our stay. The place was very quiet and very personable and that's something you definitely don't get with a big hotel chain. It was... More

I got a room here only because there was a cancellation for that weekend. Normally, you need to book this b n b several weeks in advance. I stayed in a second floor room facing the courtyard and the pool. First, I arrived a little late but the host was very accommodating and waiting on the porch for me at... More

We just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay at Maison De Macarty. The Inn is wonderful....old world charm but not at all stuffy. Kurt and his staff were perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming. We loved the pool area and self-serve bar. The full breakfasts each morning were great. The best part is that the Inn is located in... More

We had our wedding at Maison, and plan on returning to enjoy this best in class bnb for years to come. First, for weddings, it's a perfect spot. We keep counting our lucky stars we found it. The gardens and the deck are beautiful, there's so much character, and the flexibility to use the space as you please the whole... More

I spent there a few days during the Jazz and Heritage Festival. My only regret is that I was so busy with the festival I couldn't fully enjoy the place, swimmingpool, etc. The breakfast was amazing and the "staff" very kind and helpful!

My husband and I recently rented out the entire Bed & Breakfast for our wedding weekend. We had our family stay at the venue Friday and Saturday night. The B&B was lovely! The rooms were clean, classy and comfortable. The owners were delightful and attendant. They were available whenever we needed and gave great advice on wedding planning decision making.... More

We came into NO for a friends wedding and booked at Maison based on their recommendations. Best decision ever. The staff is great and chef Curtis is a genius in the kitchen. The house is beautiful, historic, and very romantic. My wife and I loved it. The location in the Bywater district is incredible and it's a short distance from... More

This was the best place we have stayed at in the entire United States. The cabins are spectacular, the location just right, the breakfast the best you're likely to have in a while (creations of Curtis, the chef) and Kurt, the host and owner, ties it all together with his hospitality and charm. If you want to treat yourself to... More

My husband and I got married there this past weekend and I am not sure where to start in explaining how perfect everything was. We rented out the entire house and had our wedding party stay in all the rooms. Every room was beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable and everything felt warm and cozy. The week of our... Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
