My husband and I have been planning our anniversary trip to the Crescent City for a year. We chose the Ste. Helene after searching for our ideal hotel. We couldn't be happier with our choice! We got the ground floor courtyard room and we're blown away! Thanks Ste. Helene!

You would almost walk by (as we did), this is a good thing since it is definitely not a cookie cutter hotel. The location is a plus as it is convenient for access to Rue Royal and plenty of restaurants. First impressions are fine, the lobby has seating, you can make out the pool at the end of the hallway,...

Patten36, We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us to improve the guest experience for all to come. Yes, the French Quarter has a high volume of traffic during the mornings in preparation for the night life. If you're looking for some of the old New Orleans style, here it is! The rooms are small but it was clean, cold ac and plenty of hot water! We stayed in town most of the day as most people do when in NOLA so who needs a big fancy hotel? Loved the nostalgia of the place. We enjoyed our...

N O T ever staying there again. The room was not very clean, the mattress old and worn out, the pool dirty, and the breakfast not so good. Is too bad it's not maintained as is a great location and interesting old building.

Not a big fancy hotel so if that's what you are looking for this place is not for you. Our room was small but had plenty of room for two people to relax. The customer service there was exceptional and staff was very helpful. Would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here last night for a little get away even though I'm from New Orleans and we live here. Great place! We will definitely be back. Cozy rooms with sitting areas, comfortable bed and large flat screen tv. Not to mention a beautiful fountain swimming pool. I would recommend staying in room 204 or205- they are...

This quaint little hotel is in an excellent location in the French Quarter. it was easy to walk anywhere in the quarter from here. It is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. I've stayed here many times and have always found the room to be spotless and the personnel to be courteous and helpful. If you're seeking ornate furnishings and elaborate décor, this is not the place; but if you enjoy clean lines, comfortable surroundings and no pretense then you'll be very pleased. Arrival and departure are easier than anywhere I've stayed....

where do I begin. We had a balcony room which facilitated many sleepless nights. The noise from the street was annoying but my favorite was the intolerable trash pick up several times a night across the street at the omni hotel. It will wake you up. Then there are the amenities there are none. No internet, no bell person, no...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
