Best word to describe this hotel is drab. Unfortunately, it’s in need of an update. Rooms are gross, dated, old brown furniture. Terrible lighting in room. No overhead lights and old lamps are hard to turn on and provide minimal lighting. Faces a broken down garage so views are non existent. Wallpaper is peeling off walls. Only positive is friendly staff and bar area is ok. With all the options in the area, choose something else!
I like the AC concept, especially the European style continental breakfast. The location is great just two blocks from Bourbon Street. The service is friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean but spartan with now drawer space. I used the gym once and took advantage of the bar and lounge with a music combo that played Greek and Israeli music, certainly unusual for jazz-crazy New Orleans. My major complaint was the extremely slow valet parking service.
Nice, clean rooms. Great location for getting to the quarter or uptown. Staff was especially accommodating and friendly. Lenora, with housekeeping, was wonderful and attentive…even during Mardi Gras weekend!
This location was ideal! Not only did we book this reservation at an excellent value and price point, but it was literally located on a street that turned into Bourbon Street, meaning that it was IMPOSSIBLE to get lost in the mix of the buzzing scenery of New Awlins! My cousin and I took a girls trip for Valentines day, and we only stayed for one night, which was wonderful. The staff and managers at this location were so kind and helpful, and thoughtful. From our check-in (which we were accommodated and gifted an opportunity to check-in earlier), to the direct support with our room and amenities by the lovely Lenora; from the restaurant staff helping me to find a quiet space to take my zoom meetings, to our bags being safely held by darling Kaylyn while we enjoyed the city after checking out! This staff reflected the hospitality that New Orleans is known for, and the stay was one to remember. Grab a cup of citrus infused water at the front desk, and stay hydrated!…
What wonderful people here esp. Kaitlin who is absolutely the best and we want to come back again just to see her! Thank you for your warmth and kindness Kaitlin and everyone at AC! We are so grateful! Xo!
Have stayed here a few times in the past few months, and it has quickly become my favorite place to stay when I come on business. The staff delivers great service and hospitality! Jaquan and Katorra are very welcoming and helpful at the front desk! I feel more comfortable about my stay when I walk in and see them. They are quick to go above and beyond on making my stay wonderful! Cornesha and Lenora do a great job with their staff taking care of the rooms. I have stayed at AC hotels in other cities, but these rooms are some of the most clean and comfortable I have stayed in. With them, you can be sure your room is clean and stocked with necessities. They are always happy and available to bring extra supplies, if needed! Bartenders downstairs are some of the most professional and skilled in the city! I usually have Mark serving me, and he is a complete joy to have serving the people who stay here. I look forward to going back! Great job AC Nola!…
Just celebrated a friend's birthday in New Orleans and we stayed at the AC Hotel for the first time. It was a great experience! The front desk staff was so nice and helpful. I wish I had written down their names. They were absolutely delightful!!! The room was modern and nice. The beds were comfortable and the hotel location was perfect. I would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it. Also, the hotel has onsite covered parking and the valet staff was also great!
I’ve really become a fan of the AC hotels because they are new, the rooms are well-organized, and there’s a standardization across the various hotels I’ve stayed at. This AC is the exception. It’s in an old building so the rooms are not uniform – I stayed in two different rooms in the hotel, one was a weird shape with uneven floors; the other didn’t have any windows. I mention this not as a negative (the windowless room was very quiet which was nice) but more that it’s a departure from the brand. The location is excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t pay extra for the breakfast – it’s a little underwhelming. Overall, if the hotel is at a good price this hotel might be a good option but don’t expect a ‘standard’ AC hotel.
Great hotel in a great location. Just a short walk to Canal Steet and even being that close to the action the noise was minimal. The staff was friendly during check in and anytime we passed through the lobby. The room was clean and had everything we needed. I am certain this will be our go to hotel from now on.
I loved the location! We were only a short walk to Bourban St., local bars and restaurants, casino and novelty stores. For the price I hated the customer service of the front desk. They were not welcoming at all even the manager Stacey and unsuccessful with assisting with the mobile key. The room was smaller than expected with an old fashioned coffee maker, mini fridge and a safe. Our bathroom was poorly cleaned and the shower had strings of hair everywhere as well as the linen on the bed. It looked like someone had spit toothpaste on the doors of the bathroom interior which still didn’t get cleaned when I requested they remove the hair. And the bed was hard as a brick. The bar tender was very nice and helpful and told us stories of the history of the area, as well as, the valet driver who provided us with food recommendation. I disagreed with the parking but opted to just do the $42/daily valet because self parking was two city blocks away and still $25/daily with no on the street parking which I would not recommend anyway. The site manager was nice when we voiced our concerns. His staff still fumbled the experience even after he addressed them about our stay. They really grew cold and unwelcoming.…
