Excellent visit to the New Orleans area. The hotel hosts and employees were very pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend visiting the WWII Museum impressive. The local restaurant has delicious food $$$.
Hotel good location a block off of Canal St. and Bourbon street. Room with king bed was a little smaller than I thought but adequate. Very modern features in room and enjoyed the rain head shower very much. Checkin was easy and front staff person was friendly. Only did a 2 night stay.
This place is super reasonably priced and fabulously located for enjoying the more touristic delights of New Orleans. It’s become our go-to hotel when in town. Just a word of warning for some: although you’ll hear your tv’s AC-branded info channel spouting “superior design” and whatnot, the mirrored bathroom doorframe gives you a full reflected view of whoever’s seated on the toilet. It’s hard to explain, but trust me haha. All in all, excellent value for location and you’re in one of the best cities. No complaints here.
We stayed here in April 2022 and had a great time! The hotel is ideally located very close to the French Quarter, Bourbon Street and all the activities that make New Orleans famous! The staff at this hotel are excellent, especially Stacy Royal, Jaquan and Mr. Katorra. Velda Argeyo was a top notch manager who exemplifies strong leadership in her staff. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. We did not hear any noise from our neighbors the entire 4 night stay. My only issue was how dark the bathroom was...the lighting was off and made putting on makeup a little difficult, but who cares really? The breakfast room was staffed by friendly people everyday who made sure we had all we needed to get the day started! We especially enjoyed our nightly happy hour in the bar area....great bartender Marc gave us a wonderful recommendation for an Italian restaurant in the French Market area that was fantastic. Everything about the AC Marriott New Orleans was perfect....we'll be back and thank you again for your southern hospitality!…
This location is fantastic. It is about 2 blocks from Bourbon so no noise, but close when you've had enough. The room was clean and the lobby very modern. The only complaint is the bathroom. You better be really comfortable with who you're traveling with. The bathroom not only doesn't have a lock, but is frosted glass and was warped so was always open 2". I would not recommend for a dating couple. You cant get into the shower without getting right under the water unless you or the last person remembers to press the button for handheld.
Stayed there for a conference. 5 nights in a room WITHOUT A WINDOW. I mean, yes a window… on the corridor. No daylight at all. Paid the full price to stay in a cave. No other option as the hotel was already overbooked. Reception did not try to find us another room or another hotel, their excuse was « it is normal for 1800’ building to have rooms without windows »… ah normal you said? Never ever stayed in a 300$/night hotel with no window. NEVER.
We came to New Orleans last minute for the Final Four because we had no idea our daughter’s team would make it. From start to finish, Jaelin and Jaqvah went above and beyond and out of their way to assist us with everything and were extremely helpful. We are so appreciative of how amazing and kind they were throughout our stay. Go Heels!
Stayed at this hotel for four nights while attending a wedding in NOLA. It is very conveniently located across Canal from the French Quarter & near the trolley car stop. You can sleep as late as you want because the rooms have blackout curtains. The rooms are dark but who wants to be in their room in NOLA? The rate here is very reasonable for such a great location. Luckily I had read another review re the shower head. You need to turn it towards the wall when turning on or you will get dosed with cold water. The rooms have a mini frig & 2 bottles of water. Also you can make coffee or hot water for tea. The bed was comfortable. Val at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We spent a lot of time at the bar with Terrance💕💕💕 He is a wonderful bartender with a great personality. We closed the bar down with Terrance every night. The other bartender Mark was not as friendly. Small canteen in the lobby where you can purchase chips or drinks from the front desk. Would definitely stay here again.…
Great location. Walking distance to the French quarter. Front desk hospitality was on point. Smooth check in and check out process. Parking was a bear. Recommend just biting the bullet to valet ($43). Room could have been a little cleaner for my taste. The rooms with two double beds are truly double beds so keep that in mind if you are sharing a bed with another adult.
This is touted as the first AC hotel in America and it shows. I love the AC brand, but I would not return here. The staff was fantastic, and the public space was nice, but the room was tired. The shower design is terrible and makes it impossible to turn it on without getting doused with cold water. It’s an old building that was redone, but encasing old windows is gross. Full of bugs and spider webs. One slow elevator. Only decaf in room when I arrived, and I only discovered in the morning that the coffee condiment packet was open and missing most items. The coffee cup lids provided in the room were not the right size for the cups. The bright spot was Terrance at the lobby bar. He is a great asset.
