Only good thing I could think of regarding this hotel is the location. Close to bourbon and cheep parking. Otherwise, nothing positive comes to mind. Lobby small, dark, and in need of renovations. Several elevators have caution tape around them advising not to use. There is an awful smell throughout the hotel that they tried to cover, but failed miserably.... More

The only thing Marriott about the hotel was the bed. They had several random men just standing around the valet stand both days we were at the hotel. We had no idea who worked there, then they didn't even help us with our luggage getting out of our Uber. Check in was fast, but normally with my Marriott status you... More

The staff here is very helpful and we really appreciated being able to check in early after a 12 hour overnight drive. Rooms are modern and very clean. The staff gave us great suggestions for seeing New Orleans. Location aloud us to walk everywhere we wanted to go.

We have stayed in hotels around the world. My brother , Sister & niece stayed here July 4th week. This particular AC Hotel in French Quarter New Orleans was super! The staff was amazing and helpful. Especially the waiters/managers in the complimentary breakfast package room. Pam, Denice, Katie Toni & Leslie & Richard as well as other staff members, were... More

We stayed here 1 night & found the location good & the price reasonable. We requested rooms away from the street & they were quiet as we wanted. Our only complaint was slow valet service - it took 45 minutes to get our car (had been advised by the hotel to expect 15 minutes).

As other reviews have stated, this hotel has clean minimalist styling with a definite European influence. They did a beautiful job of decorating but it's more modern than many may be expecting...including my parents. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable but the in-room furnishings are lacking. There are no dressers and there's just an 18-inch wide closet... More

Pros. Very conveniently located close to French Quarter, which is only a couple of blacks. It is nice that they have many USB outlets on the wall. If you have a membership for Marriott, wi-fi is free. Cons. Sink is only 4 inches deep and not easy to use. Their restaurant is not very good that we decided no to... More

I would never stay at this hotel. The General Manager is inappropriate and untrustworthy. It is best to stay at another hotel because of Skip Adams. There numerous excellent choices nearby with better management. Be careful about this person.

Erika and Victoria are 2 of Nola's top mixologists! We had an amazing experience due to their skill and customer service. Be sure to be around at 5pm for a free shot. The custom cocktails are excellent but they can make you anything you are in the mood for.

The staff is really nice and it is a block away from the streetcars on Canal street and Bourbon street. The room was nice, but had an odor. One day they forgot to leave towels. The room was super small and cheaply decorated. Also, the ac was not that great. All in all, the ac and odor was my biggest... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
