Seriously the worst hotel experience ever. We booked 3 hotels for 3 nights for 10 girls as we were here to enjoy a bachelorette. One of our rooms had bugs and smelled horrible so we had to end up switching our room. Our other room's phone wasn't working so we had to pack our things AGAIN and switch to another... More

I would give this hotel 5 out of 5 except for the fact they took money from our travel credit card without notice. The staff were excellent, especially our Concierge, Derek. The room was great, the location was exceptional. However a day or so after checking in I noticed that $100US has been taken from our credit card. When I... More

Two Nights -- and the use of one small meeting room. The room I enjoyed on the 5th floor was neat - and extremly small - that bathroom was 1/3 the size of the hotel room. But absolutely beautiful, the shower was state of the art.... The lobby was small and loud The doormen, bell staff, and desk folks were... More

This hotel is conveniently located a couple of blocks from bourbon street. The hotel is clean. The room is small with no real closet. We had a view of the windows of another building a few feet away. The pillows were mushy. I prefer firmer. The room felt very sterile and not inviting. On the upside, when the front desk... More

We had a few issues with our stay but did not report them until we checked out. The staff was very sympathetic and we should have said something sooner. Our room had a musty smell and the floor felt like it tilted. The water was never cold in the faucet, and there was no recycling anywhere. Those are the issues.... More

The lounge crew was amazing. Erika and Viktoria's enthusiasm was incredible. If they lived in my town I would be recruiting them to work for my organization. No question! The drink poison berry punch was the best I have ever tasted!

I spent the last few nights at the AC and the staff has been very friendly and outgoing. The room is very nice and clean at all levels. The ability to walk out of the hotel and make a left walk a few blocks and your in heart and soul of the french quarter makes this a great value. The... More

The AC Hotel is just a block or two from Canal Street and Bourbon Street - close to the heart of the action in New Orleans. But don't expect too much here. Rooms are clean but small and without much in the way of furnishings. Music in lobby is loud in the evenings. Service was just fine.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
