OMG!!! I called for simple hotel, airport and area information and spoke with a young lady at 504-524-8410 and her response was "girl you have a phone google it" are you serious. I called back the next day hoping to speak to a Manager and at this same number I spoke to a Paul Collins who I guess trained that... More

We loved the location of this hotel. Very close to everything. It's older and can be difficult to find the staff. We found the staff helpful and laid back when they were around. The pool is a welcome oasis in the French quarter in the summer. They have guest laundry available free

Not what we aspected,Condo very old,Came here with with sister, both of us in our 60. Bathroom and bedroom upstairs, the spirals stairs not very comfortable for us...toilet didn't flush well, bathtub very high and very hard for us to get in,very uncomfortable couch bed,our guests ended up getting another hotel room down the street, only one bathroom for 6 people. This apartment (with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and stove) has a poolside breakfast of cellophane wrapped pastry and bloody Mary mix with vodka. The manager let us in to drop off our bags at noon (check-in is normally 3:00 PM) so we could park just around the corner, two big pluses for being inside the French Quarter. The price is... More

The best thing about Chateau Orleans is its location. Everything French Quarter is very walkable. For RCI members, it is a great deal for one week stay in a city that can be expensive. Outside view of resort is quite charming, very NOLA. Pool is nice common area, though heavily used and we didn't make time to use it. No... More

This smaller hotel has a pool in the center of the courtyard for your daily dip after walking all day. The rooms are furnished with very nice antique reproductions and are very liveable. Parking is non-existent, there is a nearby garage but it costs $30 a day, so you have to factor that in to your pricey room rate.

My husband and I just had a wonderful 5-day, four night adventure in New Orleans. We did not go to the Jazz Fest, though it was on while we were there. We stayed in this great little place that is only two blocks off Canal Street and the trolleys and two blocks off Bourbon Street! Loads of convenience to food... More

Place was old and dumpy. The floors (carpet) was old & really dirty, I noticed one evening my socks were filthy. The walls were paper thin, so I had to hear a drugged out couple argue for over a hour about their current affair at 3 am. Management should have been on the property to handle that mess. Service was... More

Excellent location one block away from Bourbon Street and easy to walk to other highlights of New Orleans. Friendly service at front desk from Susie made our stay very enjoyable as we were always greeted with a smile and excellent advice on tours. Our room was quiet, comfortable and decorated in the old world style of New Orleans. We loved... More

Booked thru our timeshare. Quaint place and clean. Very comfortable beds. Had apartment size fridge and two burner stove top. Outdoor pool. Two blocks from bourbon street. Staff was nice and very helpful. Had free laundry facility and very nice court yard. Always felt safe. Close to everything. Did bloody Mary's and pastries on the weekend.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
