I was shocked at the Super Rate in such a prime area of New Orleans. The stafirst was awesome. The 7th floor lounge even has a pool table. Best towelse in any Hilton I've been in! Only like 2 blocks from the Quarter.

This Hilton hotel is located within walking distance from the French Quater. It has valet parking but across the street you can park your car for $25,00 per day with unlimited excess in those 24 hours. Cabs and streetcars are locayed there as well. There are several dining options , hilton itself, 3-4 within 2 minutes walking distance from the... More

Very clean. Easy access around New Orleans. Only a few blocks from the casino. The trolley is one block from the hotel. A lot of activity in the area. Restaurants near if you don't want to eat in the hotel.

I enjoyed staying at this Hilton - the hotel had four elevators so I never had to wait long to get an elevator and I was on the 18th floor so it was nice not to have to stop on several floors before reaching mine! The executive lounge has a pool table and great snacks. There were hot choices for... More

The location of this hotel and the restaurant located in the lobby are the best features. The room was clean, bed comfortable, coffee maker worked, etc. It's a Hilton so they're not going to mess up the basics. We were excited to get a room on the top floor. But it turns out that the 19th floor has super tiny... More

The hotel is very, very well located to everything one might want. French Quarters a couple of blocks away. Walk or ride trolley/tour bus everywhere. No need for car. (High costs of $25-$40 per night to park!) Hard to drive around in this area anyway. Hotel services are good and the people are GREAT, making the stay fruitful and friendly.... More

Everything was great! It was also in walking distant to everything! Parking was $40 and it was worth it because you are able to come in and out as you please! The inside pool and the hot tub was nice! Will stay there again! Also the best place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner is Daisy Dukes across the street from... More

Location is good for my work. Restaurant food & service was great...very hands on. 2 fire\evacuation alarms with no real explanation other than someone cooked something to long in the microwave or the fire marshall may have come by at 9am at night to run a drill. A answer was never provided. Bugs were in the room, and bathroom. Food... More

But to my surprise the hilton is just as nice if not nicer.. the staff is very friendly. They will go out of there way to accommodate you.. I've read on here that other... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
